We are going on our first trip to Disney March 18-25th. We are staying offsite at Windor Hills and I had a question about ticket options. Tickets for my DH and 2 sons who are 6 & 3 we want to go to multiple parks but not neccessarily the same day. We had planned on going to the parks 3 days, should we get a 3 day park hopper ticket? Or just 3 one day entries for each park? I'm just confused if it is money saving if you don't hop parks on the same day or does it even matter? :confused3 Thanks for the help and I've enjoyed reading the boards!

First of all you have come to the right place for advice. This place is amazing for the knowledge of Disney. Second, we went in November with our first trip as parents (our DS is 3 1/2) and we didn't park hop. I didn't really see the need in it to be honest with you. I've purchased park hopper passes in the past and used them but it was different taking a child. I don't see paying the extra money if you don't think you will be going from one park to another. There is plenty in each park to fill your day (maybe not AK). Have a great time.

Thanks so much for your reply, makes since and love the lower price. For some reason I was thinking park hopper also included going to a different park on different days too! We were only planning on one park a day anyway thanks for the help :)

We went this summer with my DD2, (We also always did the hopper) but with a little one we did not buy the hoppers small children get too tired and you cannot enjoy 2 parks in one day. They need down time to enjoy the parks. ::MickeyMo

If this is your first trip I think there is so much for you to see at each park that the hoppers would be a waste of money.

Well, it's a personal choice. But, since you say your going to parks 3 days, you'd have to pick one to skip. Also, let's say you go to MK one day, AK one day, EPCOT on last day and by noon your kiddies REALLY want to go on splash mountain (PLEEEZE MOMMY!) one more time before you leave, you're out of luck without the hoppers. Remember - hopper option adds 35.00 to tkt cost no matter how many days you buy tix for. Additionally, if you are going to return, you may want to consider buying 6, 7, 8, 9, or 10 day hoppers that do not expire. You'll save a lot of money on the return trip by doing this.
Well, look at the price charts and decide what's best for your family's needs.
Sorry, but I'm an addict that always has an annual pass because everytime I get back to NY, I plan another trip to WDW.
Have a great time! :cool1:

After I saw the price difference from park hopper vs. regular multi-day pass we decided to shoot for 4 days. Our boys are only 6 and 3 and since it's their first trip I don't want to push it too much, but I thought we would to AK the first day, then MK, Epcot and probebly back to MK for the last day. Reading these boards have brought a lot of excitement to my travel planning instead of the anxiety I felt before finding this place. I'll wait on annual passes to see how it goes but it could be in our future! Thanks for the advice. :)

Just a tip, don't forget to look at the reputable discount ticket brokers for tickets. You may want to try http://www.ticketmania.com. I (and lots of other folks here at the DIS) have used them with good results in the past.

If you are interested in going to three parks, with a different park each day, then you would want a 3 Day MYW ticket. If you want to go to WDW for 3 days and be able to visit multiple parks in each day, then you would want a 3 Day MYW ticket with Hopping. The ticket prices are currently structured such that it doesn't cost much more to add one or two days at the parks -- often, it is cheaper to get an extra day at the parks then it would be to add the hopping feature to all of the tickets. For instance, it is cheaper to purchase a 4 day MYW ticket than to purchase a 3 Day MYW ticket with Hopping. (You can not use more than one day on a ticket, however, so no purchasing a ticket without hopping and trying to use one day at MK and one day at MGM on the same date.)

Also, WDW ticket prices are expected to increase at the very beginning of the year, so you may want to purchase your tickets this weekend!
