I am at the 499 date that I can book room only for our June 2008 trip!!! I will wait to I get back from POP in March...when I will need that Disney fix!!!! We are thinking CSR.....unless my DD falls in love with POP!

Okay, our dates may be changing. Depending on when my neighbor can get his vacation scheduled, we may have to go for Easter next year rather than Mardi Gras.
Possible dates:
Choice one: 2/2-2/9
Choice two: 3/21-3/28

I am hoping for the first.

Now that it is March I can officially say we are going back to Disney in a year!

We have settled on March 12-18 and my parents have decided to join us for sure! Waiting till packages come out this summer to book. Gosh I hate the waiting! LOL! Also have pretty much decided to go for POFQ this time around!

March 14-20, 2008 (Daughter's 13th birthday 3/18) POP

First trip for the family! My last time was almost 20 years ago!

This year will be so LLLOOOONNNGGGGGG! But, I'm going to use it wisely and research and plan! I think that will be almost as much fun as the trip itself...okay, maybe not, but close!

I told my MIL we are going, now they are going. Found out a few days later than BILand SIL were already planning on going around the same time with SIL's parents! SO we may have a grand gathering.

We are doing many character meals. CRT on DD's birthday, Chef Mickey's, CInderella's Gala Feast (DD loves CInderella), Liberty Tree Tavern, and one more, we have not decided yet.

I am so excited!!!! Probably more than the kids. I went to DL when we lived n SO. Cal. when i was a kid, but that was 25 years ago.

Okay. Just got home from a HUGE sale at Boston Store. Got son his first suitcase! I think I'll give it to him at xmas time. Okay, how bad is it that I am already buying stuff for our trip, but we haven't booked anything yet!

March 2008 for us, 378 days, almost to the one year mark. First trip to DisneyWorld for 6 out of the 8 of us. We have been to Disneyland twice in the past year. We will be going March 15th-24th, and celebrating DH's 40th birthday while we are there. Our travelling party is DH & myself, our 3 children, my aunt, my brother and my niece. The children our 2 girls who will be 12 & 8, and two boys who will be 11 & 9. We plan to stay at the Boardwalk Villas that looks like the best fit for us. I hoping to at least book the villa in a few weeks when we hit the one year mark.

Question, may be dumb may be not? If we are planning to go June 2008 should I go ahead and book the room? and if we can only book the room when can I call to get the package dining/tickets ??? I have plenty of time right or does it book up that fast, I know June is one of the busiest times ? We decided to stay at the Contemporary. Please let me know if I should go ahead and reserve the room now. Thanks

I'm here for the wait too!

We've been back from our 1st trip for only a few weeks, but we can't wait to go back! So, we've settled on the dates, now just wait, wait, wait......

dates: February 8-16
resort: Pop Century (kids request to go back)
dining plan: yes!
tickets: probably 7-day park hoppers
transportation: drive down (8hr trip), WDW buses

We are planning sometime from june to august and I plan on booking as soon as we have the date nailed down. You can book up to 499 days in advance. RIght now the packages are not out yet and they don't have the room rates out, but you can make your reservations and start forking over the piles of cash. Oh, and the web site will not let you book out that far you have to call.

You can always change things around later if they come out with a good package that you want, or a special.

You can start making the dining reservations at 180 days out. Everyone has told me to start calling on the first day I can for those, so that is the plan!

Well, I called and made the room reservations yesterday. I cried like a baby afterward. It's the sense of relief and excitement that it is finally happening! Can you feel the magic in the air???

We went in May of 2005 with our DS8 and DD2 at the time. I wish we could go every year - but we just can't afford it. I talked my DH into then because we could save money with a child's pass for DS and with DD free! Of course, I have been wishing we could go back ever since!

My DH is not a big Disney fan. So, I was surprised when he said that we would probably take the kids back again maybe in four years! Tee Hee little does he know that I am secretely planning a trip for 2008. I have a SIL that likes Disney as well. We only get to see my brother and SIL once a year at best since we live far apart. So, I am thinking of trying to get them to plan a family trip with us for 2008. That way, it might be easier to get my DH on board. Ain't I sneaky!

Time will tell if I can pull it off!

We are planning a 2008 trip with my sister and her family, although the reservations are not made yet, waiting for Dear brother in law to finalize, and for me until the ressies are made it just doesn't seem real. Nothing like Magic and a little pixie dust to set things right.

You can make reservations directly with DIsney up to 499 days in advance. I know some travel agents will not do it until the rates come out, and you cannot do it online until the rates come out.

Okay. Our plans have changed a bit drastically this morning. We had planned on staying at one of the All Stars hotels in May. Well we were able to get a timeshare for May 11-17th, 2008. I really didn't want to stay offsite, but it will be about $200 for the entire week for us. So as much as I want to stay onsite, for that price I can't pass it up. Oh and it's only 3 minutes from WDW!
