Tuesday 23rd continued


Now then...where was I?...oh yes, I was in Hell

Time for more silly face shots I think

I quite like this photo - I have stomach muscles

Suz- too sweet to be a devil!

Heres Hell - I'll try and describe it for those who havent been -

Small little lava rock area with lush green vegetation all around it - really bizarre.

Considering we were in Hell we all look rather happy about it dont we


There isnt much there - a total touristy thing - just a post office and 2 gift shops selling "I've been to Hell" t shirts etc. Fun though and not too far away to eat up most of your day.


After a quick nosey around the gift shops we jumped back into the taxi and headed back towards public beach on severn mile beach -

If we'd just left Hell, then I think we'd just turned up in Heaven...oh my!

It was georgous.

We had lunch on the beach a t a small bar/restaurant - fab food but slow service - we should have stayed in the sea and made the most of our time til the food was ready.

Thankfully, the rain didn't last long at all. I think next time, Beef and Mrs Beef will be all ours. We need guidance.

Eek! - it was boiling hot when we were there - what a shame.

The taxi came for us at 3pm - (we would have stayed there forever if she'd let us) and we headed back to the port area and browsed round some shops.

I bought yet another t shirt and yet another xmas ornament and then caught the tender back to the Magic.

We quickly got changed and had a dip in the Goofy pool then went back to the stateroom for a nice cold glass of white wine.

I had a bath (well, you know what I mean if you've tried it yourelf )
and got ready for Palo wit hJeff and Suz!

We dropped Ellis off at the kids club (his 2nd home ) and headed up to Palo.......

Here we all are

Heres our waiter Dragan - hysterical guy with a great taste in food. His recomendations were excellent and he certainly kept us entertained by picking on Jeff most of the evening.

Now, if we thought brunch was good...oh my god! - the food was amazing!

My favourites from memory were the mushroom pizza, the filet with gorgonzola sauce, the veggie risotto and chocolate souffle, although we tried so many different dishes I enjoyed almost everything. We spent 3 hours eating.......yes, Its not a typing error - I mean 3 HOURS

After Palo, Neil and I had a walk around the ship - it was desserted - everyone was either in dinner or in here

Heres our towel animal for tonight - I'm not exactly sure what Planky is doing though

The evenings a bit of a blur after that - not sure what we did after - I was probably overdosing on calorie busting food at the time, so I'll stop here and restart with the next day

Wednesday 24th October - AKA Cozumel


Ok, remember I described Key West in one word ....hot?

I would describe Grand Cayman in one word as ...idyllic

and I would describe Cozumel in one word as
















Windy!!!!!!!!!


Holy cow! - lets just say my hair was sideways





Forgive me, I'll start again properly.

I got up early the next morning and left Neil and Ellis snoring. I headed up onto deck 9 and grabbed myself a cup of tea and had a walk around. Not many people about so I took some photos of a near empty ship.

It was very windy on deck.

I enjoyed the peacefulness and then grabbed another tea and coffee and went to wake them up.

They got dressed and we grabbed some brekkie from Topsiders and then went back to the room to get some distag bags ready to deliver.

After a trip to nearly every floor delivering bags we got ready and headed off the ship.

and here he is 2 minutes later

Doesnt the other ship look UGLY compared to the lovely Magic.

Most of the day trips had been cancelled due to the weather, we had just intended going to the beach, so that was out of the question aswell. The wind was so bad it actually took my breathe away.

We had a wander round a little mall but it was mostly silver jewellery shops that all had exactly the same stock.

We watched some dancers and musicians for a while

then after a short while we headed back to the ship....so that was Cozumel! - over in a few minutes and very windy.

We got back onboard and had some lunch from Goofys Galley and some icecream for dessert. The sun came out then so Ellis played in the mickey pool and on the slide.

Now, we couldnt find Plankton when we went back to change into our swimsuits earlier - he was not in the room and the room host hadnt seen him either


Where could he be


Neil and I were sitting happily watching Ellis play in the pool when we heard a big commotion on the other side of the pool....

we could hear people gasping in horror and we overheard comments such as "Its disgusting" and "Oh my!...not on a family ship" and "it might be better if it wasnt so green" etc etc...we headed over to see what all the fuss was about.............

Then it was Mickey ice creams all round

and everyone was happy again

Ellis went to the kids club for a while

Once again the lobby area and corridors seemed really empty - I was to realize later that half the ship was probably already in the line for Jack Sparrow

and then we all got ready for pirate night!

The queues for Jack Sparrow stretched for miles so we gave up on his queue and found some normal piratey backdrop photos

and Mickey and Minnie instead

There was a band in the lobby

and then we headed to Lumieres for pirate dinner!

She did have a bandana on her head initially, but she wouldnt co-operate for the photo - Kira thinks "enough photos already - you're as bad as my mommy!"


Ellis got pirate blood for his dinner (ok, ok its just ketchup)

Dinner over we headed back to the lobby - and bumped into Mr Smee and Captain Hook

I love Ellis' face on this one

I spotted some KK'ers getting their photo with Chip and Dale, but it didnt come out too good - sorry Missy

and then we saw some guy in tights

We went back to the room, only to find a wierd monkey hanging around our cabin????????

Apparantly he was a friend of Planky's so they just "hung around" together..............Get it?....."hung" around together - ....I know....I know...they're getting worse.

-geez, its getting really bad when I laugh at my own sad jokes

Before I get a barrage of complaints - Let me just say that "no Planktons were harmed in the making of this trippie"


ps - I hope thats a tail on that monkey??????????????

This is one of the best trip reports I have ever read. I am loving all the pictures, and especially Planky's adventures. My friends and I are heading on a Western in May so I read all of the Western reports. As I said, yours with all the pictures is one of the best!

Just finished reading your trippie and I am really enjoying your photos. Looks like Planky had a great time. I must admit I have been lurking in hopes of catching up on my old buddies LindyLoo, Wayne, and Elouise. We all did the Wonder cruise together last October and my thoughts and wishes were with them on this one. Can't wait to see the rest.
