Sunday 21st October - A.K.A KEY WEST
We awoke after a lovely nights sleep - I liked being rocked to sleep by the boat.
Neil took Ellis to Topsiders to get him some brekkie while I showered and got ready - we were off to Palo for brunch with Jeff and Suz!
Here we all are
Heres my very own travel guide - AKA Jeff!
and his lovely wife Suz
Neil
and me!
The food was excellent - I cant remember much of the menu, but I remember the grape and cheese pizza - oh my god! - georgous!!!! - you've gotta try it.
There were also lots of seafood dishes

-ewk - dead bodies on a plate - not my kinda thing but the others were happy to chomp away.
It was a great start to the day and we watched from Palo as we pulled into Key West.
Other KK'ers were in there too - Rose and Bob, Paige and Rob, Linda and Wayne - quite a mini meet!
We fetched Ellis from the kids club, got changed and headed off ship to Key West -
I can describe Key West in one word that day
hot!
I was melting as soon as I got off the ship.
We walked to the Pirate Soul Museum
bought a couple of t shirts and then headed to Southern Most Point ....on foot

Yeah - I can hear you all laughing.... I thought I had read you could walk it

- well, yeah! - you can ...but you'll be nearly dead by the time you get there.
We walked, ................and came across the Blond Giraffe - time for pie I thought!
It was ok, quite nice, wouldnt give it more than 7 out of 10, and then carried on our journey........our loooooooooooong journey to Southern Most Point.
We met some KK'ers - Jen and Pete - we asked them if we were almost there - they said about half way.............half way - holy cow!

- whose stupid idea was this to walk - a nice little trolley thing drove past us at this point and my evil stare at Neil got deeper and more evil. Note to self - What ever you do - DONT LET A MAN WHO HAS HAD ABSOLUTELY NO INPUT INTO PLANNING THIS TRIP EVER CONVINCE YOU TO WALK TO SOUTHERN MOST POINT.
We plodded on...Ellis had now refused to carry on walking so as punishment Neil got to carry him the rest of the way. We plodded, plodded and then plodded some more and we finally came across some stupid stripey barrel like thingy - we had arrived

- we queued in the heat, had a couple of photos taken
then caught a cab back to the shops and bars near the ship.
We had a beer in Hogs Breathe - Elllis took a photo of a hogs backside!
and then shopped some more. We found a 2gb sd card, some colour changing t shirts, socks for Neil - (i had forgotten to pack any

) and then wandered slowly back to the ship.
Here she is - waiting patiently in the sunshine.
This sign was a very welcome sight.
We quickly got changed into our cozzies and headed up to the Goofy pool to cool off.
Back to the stateroom then to get ready for dinner - Lumieres tonight.
Once again - lovely food, (double portions of some) and great service.
After dinner Ellis went into the kids club and Neil and I went to watch the show - a ventriloquist - brilliant!
After the show we called in on Ellis but he didnt want to leave the kids club so we made full speed ahead to Rockin Bar D. We watched a juggler guy - funny - had a few drinks and then collected Ellis and went to bed.
Side note - Dis Tag -
I dont think I have mentioned DisTag yet have I?
Forgive me...I'll explain -
20 of us KK'ers decided it would be fun to play DisTag - you make 19 little bags of goodies and one by one, (each time you get a goodie bag) you deliver them to the other people playing...It was excellent fun - really great to go back to your room to find a goodie bag waiting on your fish
While I'm at it I may as well show you the door too!
The best 3 magnets were made by my dear friend Nancy to celebrate my 21st birthday............ok 40th then and one made by Shane for Ellis - thank you both!
