I will be checking in one night before my Free Dining package as the flight to arrive a day earlier is about the same as an extra night at Pop (who wouldn't stay an extra night if they can).

My question is will Planet Hollywood allow me to use the voucher one day before our check in date? The dates are printed on the voucher. Has anyone been able to do this?

No, Its not a free meal cupon. It's just a genral $15 gift cert. for $15 off your total bill. For menu click on dinning above, then Menus, then just search for Planet Hollywood.

I know it's not a free meal coupon.

It does however have our check in dates (I have mine from the last trip) so I'm wondering if they will allow me to use it on our very first night before our package starts. We will arrive one day (evening) before my Free Dining reservation so it would save me $15 out of pocket for dinner that first night as we can't use the DDP credits until the next morning.

It's just my niece and I so we could almost get a meal with the $15, I may have to pay a bit more depending on what we order and the tip. But it does make a cheaper meal than paying OOP for food.

When you have the voucher should be able to use it as it is not hooked to free dining but PH will go by the dates. :surfweb:

1) Those PH cards are around at every hotel in town.
2) Every concierge has them and gets a rebate for guests using them.
3) You can use them anytime, or ask the Concierge for another.

NOTE1: MOST restaurants in town have a referral program. The Concierge at the hotel marks his name/ID on the card and sends the guest to the restaurant. The concierge can get up to $4 per person for guests going. The guest, in return gets a free drink or free appy or free dessert. The rebate to the Concierge can be in the form of actual cash or credit for meals. Planet Hollywood referral cards, aka Vouchers, are the same way. (We eat out 2-3 times per week for free at some of the most expensive eateries in town or Disney due to referral programs.)

NOTE2: The same goes for referrals to local tourist activities, theme parks, tours, and car rentals, In fact, the Concierge gets cash up to 25% of the rental car cost as a referral/commission thus easily $100 for a few days for each rental. For tours, they can make up to $10-$15 per person going, thus $50-$60 for a family of four. In some cases, the Concierge can make up to $40 per guest for admission tickets like multi-day hoppers to Disney or Universal or dinner shows such as Arabian Knights.

Ticket sellers and travel agents can also make the same referrals/commissions. Concierge and travel agents are not working for the low-ish hourly wages. We can make some really good bucks from referrals and commissions.

So you think they will let me use it a day earlier.

Should I talk to someone at Pop Consierge and see if they can get a new one printed up?

on a simliar but different question, we will be in two rooms on our upcoming stay, can we use both the Planet Hollywood vouchers together?

I've heard conflicting stories about that. Some were able to others were not.

That's why I want to know before I show up with my voucher and they sorry, they won't accept it. From what others have posted it would not be my first pick of restaurant to pay out of pocket for.

1) If worried, get a card from the concierge desk.
2) They don't actually have to print it.
3) It is blue and the size of a normal business card.
