Planet Hollywood and dining plan?

Has anybody actually used the dining plan at Planet Hollywood ? It says for 2006 that there is a voucher for 1 entree with the MYW plus dining. Will PH still be on the plan for 2006? If so is there a surcharge for all meals or just some entrees?

When we called yesterday & booked our January 2006 stay at POP we also got the Dining plan & the lady on the phone said we could not use our vouchers at Planet Hollywood.

We ate there in October and had no problem.

Also as a side note if you are stay at a Deluxe hotel be sure to check with Guest Relations they gave me a VIP so that we didn't have to wait in line to get in without reservations. I am not sure if it is just the Polynesian or all Disney owned properties that do this.

Why not? Unless they meant combining both the plan AND vouchers? I still don't get it, but when we go that will be an OOP meal because of the 2 we'll be using for HDDR, so hopefully it's a non-issue.

I don't know. My mother was the one on the phone who actually booked everything for us. She said the lady on the phone said we could not eat at Planet Hollywood or Rainforest Cafe on the Dining Plan because they are not owned by Disney. Maybe this person was wrong. We did not really care because those were not our choice of restaurants anyway. Hmmmm.

OK. I looked at the WDW website and they have Planet Hollywood listed on their dining plan. Maybe they're changing it for 2006 or maybe you just can't combine the plan and the voucher.

The way it is working for our plan is:

Planet Hollywood isn't included in the dining plan credits. We get a special voucher for a meal at PH, in addition to the dining plan. These vouchers have been offered before, even before the dining plan was in effect.

A couple years ago we used our voucher for PH and we thought the place stunk. We're getting another one for our trip in January and aren't even going to use it.

...but that's just us. Maybe you'll love it.

Another detail -- according to our plan (for May), the PH vouchers are for a "select menu" entree. Meaning, I assume, there are only certain things you can order. I'll be very interested to hear what these are.

I was told that you get one voucher per reservation, that stinks and it can be used for a burger platter, pasta or Caesar's salad.

Don't know what the story is for the dining plan 2006 but 2005 Planet Hollywood was a participating location but you had to pay additional monies for certain things on the menu.

Anyone seen the 2006 dining plan participants yet?
