Hi all,

We leave this weekend and I have a few questions.

1. I have purchased the Crayola Color Wonder and a mini-magna-doodle for my 2 1/2 y/o to use on the plane. Any other suggestions to keep him occupied? We have a direct flight that will take about 2 1/2 hours so I'm hoping he'll do well.

2. Anyone back recently from Toontown in the MK notice the progess on the trainstation? Our itinerary would really benefit from use of this station but it's not officially scheduled to open until the 19th. --the day we depart.

3. This time of year there are often passing rainstorms in central Florida. What happens when it is raining at the time of the afternoon parades? Do they delay the parades or cancel them? Or do they go on as scheduled as long as there is no lightning?

TIA,
Rhonda

I think parades and shows go on as planned unless the rain is severe or there are T-storms.

Ideas for the plane:

Our kids love magnetic boards. We have an African safari, dollhouse and cars and trucks one. They are boards that fold in half into a book with a handle(decorated inside with the background scene) that come with all different magnets to move around on the board. They're great because you don't have to worry about lost pieces. I got them at our local toy shop but I think I've seen them at Target and Toys R Us. Also coloring books and sticker books, mini etch-a-sketch (Target) and books to read to him.
The last time we took a long road trip (15 hours) our two oldest were 4 1/2 and 21 months. I wrapped up all the new things I had bought them to do on the road and gave them a new little something every hour or so (got this idea from my mom who did it when we were kids). They LOVED the wrapping paper. I think there's just something about wrapping paper for kids that makes what's inside even better! Even if it's just a matchbox car or new crayons! ;)
Have a great time!

...Decker96. I've heard of Colorforms which are like static stickers but the magnetic boards sound good. Is there a brand name for them and do you think they would be in the book section or toy section of the stores.

TIA,
Rhonda

The magnetic boards are called Create-A-Scene, Play Sets by Smethport. They're in the toy section. I think at Target they were either by the puzzles or the coloforms. Good luck!
