Plane arrives at 10 PM in Orlando airport - where to stay our first night ?

I would add on a night at BLT if possible. We are flying in the night before and staying at our resort which is CSR. It really wasn’t much more than the airport hotels. I’m happy to be able to settle in and hit RD the next morning. It’s worth the extra few bucks to us.

I would just go ahead to the Disney resort. $240/night is super low for a Disney DVC resort and you likely won't find much else that is cheaper enough to deal with the inconvenience. I've arrived at CR as late as 1am and was glad to already be settled into my resort on day 1.

We're in the same prediciment in our upcoming October trip however, this is also a working trip for me so I dont have time to dilly-dally in the morning. ---- We're staying at the BC Club Level

Typically we'd stay at the the Hyatt at the airpor,t as previous posters mentioned, but I dont feel the cost warrants the short time we're going to be there..The price $350. (basically from midnight to 7am.)
We opted to stay at the Pop. It was $238, and we'll just take the skyliner over to the BC in the morning.

Technically, luggage isn't allowed on the Skyliner (or the Disney Springs buses). I've done it with carryon size, but this might not actually work.

That would make you get an Uber anyway, and if you're going to do that, I'd just stay somewhere nicer for the money, like Disney Springs.

Yes, I've heard that luggage isnt allowed. Which we're fine with. We'll have guest services transfer it over at some point in the day and just take what we need in our backpacks.

Good call on the backpacks. And just so you are aware you will be dropping your bag with Bell Services, not guest services. Bags arrive anywhere from 3-6pm fwiw.

I thought I would share, while not necessarily applicable in this case, it may help someone else in the future.

We normally drive to Disney. When my children were younger, we would often leave after work, and stop overnight in Jacksonville. Now that they are older, we tend to drive straight thru.

However, with the RESERVATION system (yes, do not get me started), we have had to “Change” how we "Do Disney."

Since you can make reservations from your first day thru your last day, we will often stay off-site for a night before our “Disney Vacation” begins. Think of a three day weekend, we may drive down and stay at a Hampton Inn Friday night, then switch to our DVC for Saturday and Sunday nights. This allows us to make reservations for Saturday, Sunday and Monday, and still save our points since we are only using them for two nights. In that scenario, we tend to hit an early opening park on Monday (like AK), stay until lunch, and then hit the road. An 8 hour ride will get us back home in the early evening.

It also does not hurt that I am a Hilton Diamond member, so, I tend to get a discount, and I have a fair amount of points that I can use for a free room. Although, I can say I am paying over twice as much as I paid for a hotel room in July of 2021, and three times as much as in 2020 ($211 a night vs. 68 a night in July 2020). Exact same Hilton branded hotel.

Hotel rates in the area are now quite high, so the $240 at CR may really be the way to go.

Our plane is scheduled to land at 9:30. We are staying at POP that night before switching over to YC the next day. Our plan is to take the skyline to zEpcot that morning while we wait for room to be ready

We’re In same boat. We’ve done this several times before and generally stay at Hyatt in airport. This year we’re heading to GDT for that night, we’ve wanted to check it out, and then we can transfer luggage in am and get on bus to MK.

Our flight lands about the same time. My husband doesn't want to stay at the airport because he wants to get where we are going and be done with it. He also won't do split stays because he doesn't want to unpack and pack🤷‍♀️ my vote was the Hyatt but I caved and we are going straight to BWI. I'm hoping we aren't too delayed.

My DH has always been that way, except for 1 trip where we had to stay somewhere else for the 1st night and ever since then I have agreed with him. LOL I found that I did not like checking in and then out first thing in the morning to check-in at WDW. So much nicer to unpack and be done with it, even is it's late and we have arrived close to 2am sometimes. Of course he still brings it up:P Now he will do a split stay but only if our trip is 9 nights or longer.

We’ve stayed at an All Star resort a few times when we had a late flight. This time we are staying at The Dolphin the night before our BWV stay.l

We are arriving at MCO around midnight, renting a car, and driving to YC. Kind of crazy, but we have only 4.5 days to cram everything in. We want to be all checked into our hotel so we (or I) can be on the app at 7:00 AM to book the Genie+ and ILL stuff.

We booked a night at All Stars twice when we had late evening flights. For our upcoming trip, we are scheduled to land at 9 pm. We are staying at The Dolphin that first night before we move to BWV. My husband and I plan on wheeling our carryons to BWV early the next morning.

Haha. I would never hear the end of it 🤣 I do see the point though, after traveling who wants to potentially be without a room the next day/morning. Much easier to wake up at "home". Our flight was delayed last year and we got to our room at midnight. So thankful we were able to sleep in and relax (well,.except.me, I had to get the virtual queue for ROTR).

just did similar in may...we arrived at 1am, though. we stayed at the Hilton in the airport and it was SO convenient. I would do it again for sure.

I’d personally try and rent one extra night at BLT from someone on the boards. Save a few bucks on points, already on property, probably won’t be super different from a hotel by MCO.

We drive and DH does not like to waste a vacation day driving, so we leave right after he gets off, so we normally do not get to WDW til midnight or later.
Yeah, we totally dislike Genie+ and park reservation and hate having to get up early to "try" and get rides we want. We went once since these were incorporated and, as of now, I am not sure I can get him to go again (at least in the near future). Plus, our last 4 trips have been to US and we have really enjoyed them.

We're landing at MCO around midnight - I've booked All Star Movies for that night (and the next).

Also looked at the Hyatt Regency at MCO, but it is quite a bit more expensive. Also, I am holding out hope that we might be able to be up in time for early theme park entry (we will have spent a crazy amount of time on flights so might actually be pretty well rested by the time we land in MCO, plus we also have an insane time difference so jetlag may be interesting), which will be easier to do if we are actually already on site. Then if we need to crash in the late morning/afternoon we already have a room on site to head back to for that day.

I travel for work so we always book a Marriott the night before on points. We then wake early, put our items at concierge where we are staying for the week and head to the park. We’ve never had a problem doing this.
