Plan Ahead with Lightning Lane Entry at Walt Disney World Starting July 24

Like most folks, I'm interested in seeing how the service evolves over the next few months--especially since it launched not too long after the DAS changes. They'll likely be looking at customer patterns: what times are most people wrapping up their initial 3 selections? What time is there a peak in folks refreshing the app to add new selections? Which times of day to LLs tend to get backed up vs move quickly? Then they'll hopefully be able to adjust the number of same-day LL drops.

I am not an International guest, but I have read this argument before. The reply has been there are various deals offered for other people throughout the year; Disney + subscribers, Disney Visa just to name 2. I don’t blame them for being pissed. You are paying a lot of money to visit Disney and are given zero perks for staying onsite. If Disney could explain what’s behind this, it would be helpful.
I get your point, but I was trying to use another example where country of origin was in play.

Here now! First time using LLMP, party of 1 (edit- orginally said 2 but I am here solo), So I know booking and modifying is MUCH different than with a group.

Pre books:
9-10 Tiana
10-11 Pirates
11-12 Haunted Mansion

Tiana’s was down until almost 11 today, so I was able to make another selection prior to park opening since that turned into an anytime pass. I got BTMRR for 9:10-10:10! 🎉

Rode BTMRR LL at 9:20, wandered til 9:55 and rode Pirates LL (booked FEA FOR 8-9 at Epcot later tonight after Big Thunder). After Pirates, I booked a Pooh LL for 11:30-12:30.

Did Country Bears at 10:30. After exiting, I noticed Tiana’s was finally open! Used my anytime pass. In line, I modified my Pooh lightning lane to ANOTHER Tiana at 11:30-12:30 🎉🎉

Rode Tiana’s with LL twice.

Rode Haunted Mansion LL- booked Soarin’ and Spaceship Earth LL for the evening.

So today, 8 LL’s plus my Guardians LLSP.

That's the correct interpretation as of now. Other guests have already been booking that date for close to a week now. Whether Disney will drop more early times as the date gets closer remains to be seen.
Thanks...that's what I was afraid of. It just doesn't seem worth it to me. Hopefully they adjust and add more times

Does anyone remember if good neighbor hotels were treated as onsite or offsite for old fastpass+ or Genie+?

I'm seeing what they consider 'onsite' now is legit only Disney Resorts, Swan & Dolphin and SOG.
They were treated as offsite for Genie+/ILL. I don't know about Fastpass+. They were also treated as offsite for ADRs.

*Annual Passholders and Guests with tickets that are not date-based may purchase Lightning Lane passes for any day within the 3-day purchase window. When staying at a Disney Resort hotel or other select hotel, Lightning Lane passes may be purchased 7 days in advance of your stay.

So, an AP holder can pre-book 7 days in advance but only if staying onsite....do i read that correctly?

Disney Springs hotels did get 60 days in advance FP+ selections and EMH, Good Neighbor hotels did not. Most people are probably thinking about Disney Springs but saying Good Neighbor. For the purposes of most perks Disney Springs was considered "on-site but not Disney owned"

According to Disney you should not have been able to ride Tiana's a second time.

Limit one Lightning Lane entry per attraction, per day.

Looks like a bug in the Anytime Experience tracking behavior. Did you already tap in for Tiana's before you "modified" your Pooh LL or were you just waiting to tap in to Tiana's

Is it a bug, or intentional? Isn't it consistent with the way MEP / anytime passes have worked previously, where it doesn't count for the ride-only-once limitation once it converts to an MEP / anytime pass?

We booked 7+3 to 7+6 days out and I'm (unpleasantly) surprised that "Modify" doesn't seem to work very well. I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong?

Here is what I've been trying to do - I feel like I must be missing something. For stuff in the future (not day-of), to see available times, I click on what I want to change (let's say Haunted Mansion, 10-11 am), then I click on "Modify Selection." Then it shows me better times than what I have (e.g. 9:40 am) - great! I click on, "Change to This Time." But now it gives me a new window with a much later time (like 12:15 pm), and a message - "Modify Time - Please note your arrival window has changed."

I don't like that time, so I go back and repeat this process. Once again, it shows me the same, better time that I saw previously (9:40 am) - great! I pick that better time again. Once again, it gives me a new window with the much later time (12:15 pm), and the same message - "Modify Time - Please note your arrival window has changed."

Note that I don't have any earlier time that would create an overlap. Why can't I get that earlier time? What am I doing wrong?

I am worried that this will also happen on the day-of. When we can see earlier times available, will we actually be able to get those times?

On the second page (where the time changed), you can then click a button to view all available times and the original/earlier time might be visible there

I modified after I tapped in. I just figured it was bc it had changed to an anytime LL, so it didn’t count towards my ride count.

That’s what I assumed. Whatever the case, getting two rides back to back on Tiana was a great treat today ☺️

Totally legit and worked as designed. When you get a redemption pass it doesn't count toward your total and since the system doesn't know on which ride you're going to use it, it's going to let you choose the same attraction.

The "Good Neighbor" hotels never got any of the good perks, but many people don't realize how many different classes of Disney-affiliated hotels there are.

The non-Disney owned hotels that had the Fastpass+ perk when FP+ died are listed here:
I believe none of those are "Good Neighbor" hotels. The Good Neighbor hotels have their own website, found here, I didn't notice any hotels on both lists. I believe the hotels that were eligible for the Fastpass+ perk changed over the history of the program. I don't believe all of the hotels on the above list had that perk when it began, even though at least some of them had the EMH perk

Genie+ (predecessor to LLMP) did not distinguish between onsite and offsite. Everyone could book at 7:00,

For booking ILLs (predecessors to LLSPs), the list of hotels was the same as is now being used for LLMP/LLSP. (Disney-owned, DVC, Swan, Dolphin, Swan Reserve and Shades of Green). The people who will be able to buy/book LLMP/LLSP at seven days before are the same as could buy/ book ILLs at 7:00.

My Early Morning Strategy:
- Book at least one MLL as early as possible and scan in.
- Once scanned in you can book another MLL PLUS modify your two remaining MLLs for an earlier return time or ANY tier MLL.

My Late Arrival Strategy:
- Book at least one MLL as early as possible and scan in.
- Once scanned in we leave the park I can book another MLL PLUS modify the two remaining MLL for a later return time or to a Tier 1. So I at least have 3 Tier 1s to use when I return.

My Late Arrival Strategy when Park Hopping:
- Purchase the AK MLL, cheaper MLL.
- Book at least one MLL at AK (Tough to be a Bug) as early as possible and scan in.
- Once scanned in we leave the park and another MLL at any park PLUS modify the two remaining MLL for a later return time or to Tier 1s. So I at least have 3 Tier 1s to use when I return.

Side Note
- Use Thrill-data to determine when the attraction MLLs may be released (note this may not work well for large groups).

It's people who think like you who have It's Tough to be a Bug's return time pushed back to 8:40 (instead of 8:00) even when booking at 7:00.

You're not the first person to suggest this, but do we have confirmation you can actually modify the originally booked MLLs to be any tier? I've seen lots of people planning on doing this, but haven't read of anyone successfully doing it.

Yes we have seen reports about guests being able to modify their initial Tier 2 experiences to any experience as soon as they scan in at their 1st experience of the day. It also unlocks the ability select experiences from any other park if they have a park hopper ticket.

Do you mind linking where you've seen that? I don't really follow any of the Disney influencers, so haven't seen it reported yet.

Right but they removed the ability to Stack in LLMP. Think about why they may have made that decision?

Dave
That's an effect of the new system - not a goal. And if you really want to you can stack 3 of them in the evening. You're getting a 3 stack right from the start without having to do it every two hours. It's a simple rolling three - the main issue they're addressing is not being able to book in advance - I don't get this obsession with "stacking". I doubt outside of the people who follow Disney boards that people were stacking more than than what they can still accomplish here.
