Plan Ahead with Lightning Lane Entry at Walt Disney World Starting July 24

Thank you for clarifying. I didn’t mean to hijack the thread. I will take the advice and just do it all myself. If I can’t get them in time, it was meant to be !
No worries and FYI there is a thread discussing the LLPP so if you any more questions swing on by and follow the action on how LLPP may sell out and at what point. So far only this week has had any sell-out days since the launch of LLPP on Oct. 30th.

https://www.disboards.com/threads/ll-premier-pass-is-here.3955537/

Only MK (8 day mark), HS (7 day mark) were the early sell-out days and neither park sold out at 7 AM. When is your visit, we don't need exact days just time period. Christmas, New Years or some other range?

Yikes that will be the true stress test of both the LLMP and/or LLSP, and LLPP systems. You might want to get your husband setup with his own MDE account and get him linked to your MDE account and then practice, practice, practice on the LLPP steps that you can see today before your actual purchase date.

You are able to access the MDE screens for LLPP today by using the "Search" function of MDE and typing Premier Pass in the search. You can practice navigation of the Calendar and Park selection and hitting the "Continue" button.

Do you really think it’s necessary for him to have his own account to do the premier passes?

Can a LLSP (Tron) over lap an ADR by 5 minutes, or same rules as LLMP?
We have an ADR at 5:55 on MVMCP night, hoping to get Tron for before and hoping for 5-6ish.

Since we don't have any real experience with LLPP demand during Christmas week other than our recent Thanksgiving week. I was surprised by the demand and the number of sell-out days for a offering that only launched as a Pilot on Oct. 30th!

I would say Yes it is worth the 10 minutes to setup a new MDE account for your husband and add a Payment method in advance. This way you will not be disappointed.

If you want to take a wait and see approach that's fine, monitor the PP availability on the Thrill Data site to see if you feel the need to setup a second MDE account.

First trip with LLMP since the switch and it’s been working well. Love scheduling our passes around 10AM and later so we can sleep in. But definitely miss being able to stack more than three passes for the evening as we typically take a midday break. The three pass limit is worth not dealing with the 120 minute rule as I do feel I’m on my phone a bit less often overall (instead of after every single ride like with Genie+ since I always wanted to start the 120 minute timer).

As someone who is a seasoned refresher, it does feel like I have to refresh longer to get passes that are immediate or within an hour. They still pop up but not as quickly as they did with Genie+. Crowds have been very mild (arrived Thanksgiving day) as we seem to have chosen our parks well (Epcot was quiet on Friday despite the festival starting, everyone seemed to be in Studios, and AK and MK were not bad at all today).

MK rides had a ton of downtime today and I was able to stack 4 MEPs plus 3 passes for the evening while still at AK midday. So we breezed through MK this evening without crossing the park too much thanks to the MEPs.

Lightning lanes have been very short. Shorter than past trips and we have done these exact dates many years. I especially noticed it in the Peter Pan lightning lane which always used to overflow and today we were the only ones in it despite a 60+ minute standby wait. I almost never wait in standby, we always do FP+ or Genie+ or now LLMP, and these are the shortest LLs I’ve ever experienced.

I like that LLMP is much cheaper for park hopping if you don’t start in MK. We paid $17 for AK today and rode over a dozen rides between AK and MK, despite only hitting rides between 10-6 and having a mid day break. I remember having to shell out like $35 for Genie+ every day last year for park hopping!

Wanted to post my experience with a specific scenario that some may encounter as it pertains to LLMP booking.

I had a large family group, some of whom were staying offsite with a hotel/ticket package, but I also had them on my DVC villa reservation.

I was not able to book LLMP for the offsite guests at 7 days, even though they were on the villa reservation, because their tickets had not yet been connected to their accounts.

The package tickets dropped at 5 days out, and I was able to then book their LLMP at 5 days (due to them being on the villa reservation).

So, they lost out on the 7 day advantage, but at least got a 5 day window due to bing on the DVC reservation.

Sorry if that's a bit confusing, but hopefully will be informative to anyone in the same situation.

I have only used LLMP once a few months ago but I can't remember exactly how it works prearrival. I purchased LLMP for our first day and got it for AK, which is our morning park. I planned on using it early then start picking for what I could get at HS. I got KS for 10:55-11:55 but would like it earlier. It says on the screen that the earliest time available is 8:50 but every time I try to modify it only gives me afternoon times. How can I get it for earlier? I also tried to modify it to a different experience that I know would be early, ITTBAB, but it only showed my times late morning.

We will be at the BCV from 12/22-12/28 this year and are looking forward to trying LLMP. We will have 5 day park hopper tickets. A couple of questions for folks on this thread:

1. During busy times (like Thanksgiving) how many LL’s did most folks get with their LLMP per day? We’re any of these additional tier 1 rides separate from the one they prebooked (7 or 3 days out)?

2. We are going to purchase LLMP on 2 days during our stay because we are DVC and have been many times. We also like to do things other than just rides. It has been difficult to decide to “pay extra” for faster access to rides we used to access with free FP but I’m willing to give it a try given how busy it will be. What would be the better option- front load the passes on 12/23 and 12/24 when crowds might be slightly lighter or split the LLMPs to one day before Christmas and one for 12/26 or 12/27?

Thank you for any and all info. I learn a lot from these boards and GREATLY appreciate the collective knowledge 😁.

Do you happen to have an ADR breakfast reservation?

I finally figured out the issue with modifying the LLMP. I had added times for winged and merry menagerie to "my day" and that kept me from being able to make a LL selection during those times. What is frustrating is when I was looking at the LL page those added activities don't show up as barriers. I was looking on the app under "future plans" and that's when I noticed those activities in my day.

Glad you got it fixed. Yes there are still some quirks in how the MDE behaves with LLMP and/or LLSP and other activities that you may have selected for your day.

Today we started at Animal Kingdom with LLMP. After rope-dropping Flight of Passage, we swiped into our first Lightning Lane at Expedition Everest at 8am.

Then:
- grabbed Soarin for early afternoon
- rode second LL (Navi River)
- booked Big Thunder for evening
- after refreshing a while, changed Big Thunder to Tiana’s for mid afternoon
- rode third LL (Safari)
- took a snack break
- hopped to Epcot for lunch
- failed to get Cosmic virtual queue
- refreshed to move Tiana’s to evening
- rode Cosmic LLSP
- rode fourth LL (Soarin)
- booked Pirates for evening
- walked through Moana
- bus back to hotel
- taking a pool break in a few minutes

So far have done 4 Lightning Lanes and have 3 more booked. At Magic Kingdom this evening, expecting to snag a few more lesser rides after riding the bigger ones we have secured.

Thanks for the detailed update. How busy was AK and Epcot today now that the Thanksgiving week is officially over?

that's a great day! Just a heads up to keep an eye on MK as Frontierland has been closed for a bit. Not sure what's happening but it might affect your Tiana later.

Sewage leak was confirmed to be located at Country bears and west on the main area of Frontierland.

Neither park seemed particularly busy. Very similar to when we’ve visited in late April.

Good to know about the sewage leak! I hope that’s fixed soon…
