Plan Ahead with Lightning Lane Entry at Walt Disney World Starting July 24

aven't seen one yet related to LLMP, but in the past this was talked about for G+ here on the boards (maybe in the big G+ thread) and even the Touring Plans G+ FAQ talked about needing to have tapped into the park to use LL.
Thanks! Yes I was able to find what you were talking about here

So the MDE account has to have tapped into the park to redeem. I still think there's a small chance it would work if I tried anyway since I will have tapped in with at least some type of ticket, but at that point it just depends if they programmed the LL scanners just to determine if somebody has gone through the entry scanners at all or if they are differentiating between different types of entry tickets/tap-ins etc. 🤣 But I think I'll avoid finding out myself at this point

It was also mentioned on July 24th on Allears.net blog. Where one of the team had not tapped into the park and their LL's were Ghosted. Their first LLMP selection even expired (timed out) and they could not do anything with it.

This was referenced in a few posts here on this thread on July 24th.

ETA: correct June reference to July in last sentence...

Exactly. We will have valid tickets ahead of time to book LLs. And we will have used a valid ticket that lets us in after 4. If we are able to book LLs for after 4, I think they would let us use them
Then if you think you’re good after reading the cautions then buy it and report back. We rely on experimental data points in our little community so be the data point you want to see!

Maybe I'll test it by getting a Tiana's virtual queue in the morning and then trying to use it in the 4-6 window, at least that will be free when I get denied lol

Has anyone bought MPLL and added only one or two attractions at initial booking, then added the additional attraction(s) later, but still in the pre-booking period?

(I have a guest who will be departing at noon on the last day of our trip and wants to ride Tiana as a priority, so we're hoping we can get that done first/earliest and add in Tier 2's once we have Tiana set up as early as possible.)

Thanks!

Are people post how their days went with new multi pass? If interested I used it yesterday and had a very successful days but think I had a slight advantage as I booked on the first day the pass was available so was able to get Tiana’s which I am getting the impression is hard if your offsite or have a short trip….
I had a short two day trip and my booking window was not until august second. I was able to secure tiana's no problem 7 days out, It was even first thing in the morning. However , the day we were going was a MNSSHP, So less people may have been buying it.

Yes you don't need to select all 3 when you pre-purchase. However your initial selections are held for 5 minutes while you complete each of your transactions. If you don't spend very long trying to optimize your day's itinerary you should be able to grab Tiana.

Adding / modifying after purchase but before your actual park day can be hit or miss to get anything but late afternoon or evening return times. Disney has been adding additional LLMP / LLSP selections on the "day of" park visit. Before the 7 AM purchase window. You can modify / add selections before 7 AM if you have available LLMP selections open.

Oooh that does sound like a pretty comparable situation. Have you seen a report of someone trying to use a LL of a person that didn't enter the park?
Rob from Ear Scouts discusses this very thing on the video he released this morning. He spoke to a CM about several issues. I’d take a look.

Have tried to find this answer-
I know if you miss your window, once you tap into the park you can book a new one. But do we know if you can do 2?

Flight gets in at 955. Not checking luggage. Going directly to Epcot.

What would happen if I had both a 9a and likely10a LL expire by the time I tap in? Can I book 2 more LLs, or just one and I lose the ability to hold 3 at any given time?

Simple just modify your 1 or 2 LLMP to a different times while you are at the Airport. They are only Ghosted if you don't tap into the park.

Except if you miss the time and are in the park, can't you then book a tier 1 or 2?

You did not mention that you would be in Epcot. Don't let them expire. Modify them to another Tier 1 or Tier 2 in Epcot. You can hold 1 Tier 1 and 2 Tier 2 at one park before you tap into your first LLMP.

What are you really trying to do?

I'm trying to figure out the time that is best to have my tier 2s at epcot as I find the tier 2s to be mostly worthless there, but also don't want to lose the option to book at our next park. (While also acknowledging flights can be delayed, etc)

You never lose the option to book at another park as long as you tap into one of your LLMP selections at Epcot and have a park Hopper ticket. This unlocks multi park LLMP and eliminates Tier restrictions.

Thanks, but this is missing the point of my question. I have no doubt we’ll get Tiana. My question is whether I can prioritize an early return time for Tiana by booking our initial tier 2s after Tiana is booked.

Today was my window to book my parents' LLMP. They're joining us for two days next week.

I couldn't get Tiana for them at all on the 20th, so I guess I can try getting them a VQ the day of? I've never tried for a VQ before.
My credit card wouldn't go through at first - I tried three times. I reloaded and saw that the purchase DID go through after all. I now have 3 separate charges pending on my card.

I wasn't able to get morning times for SDD or TSMM on the 21st. Not sure how to fix that for them, other than RD and we all ride standby? I'll keep trying to modify them to better times.

I was able to get the same morning time for ROR, so that's one win.

It was overall pretty disappointing. I never minded waking up early for G+ and I never had trouble getting times we wanted.

What is your definition of booking?

When you make your initial Tiana selection MDE will return a suggest return window. You are able to Modify your time to select an earlier or later time if there are available times to select from at the time you are making your selection(s).

You can select your LLMP attractions in any order and your selections are held for 5 minutes to complete your purchase transaction. Since you are purchasing a LLMP that includes up to 3 attractions. You are able to make your 1 Tier 1 and leave the other 2 selections blank for your initial purchase. And come back later to make your 2 additional selections.

Today was my booking date as well. We only planned to book on our 2/3rd park day so 9 and 10 days out. Got what we wanted for MK and HS but terrible times I was able to modify slightly earlier but still later than I wanted. So I agree it was disappointing. Not sure how offsite guests get anything. I also had the "card did not work error" I hit retry 3 times and then I saw an email pop up thanks for my purchase but the app totally froze both times and I had to force close it to get it to work.

Thanks - this was what I was asking!

This worries me for availability when the busy season comes. It’s very reminiscent of early Genie days. I remember at one point Disney had to caveat that Genie was basically just for 3 or 4 rides. Maybe they are waiting to unveil Disney Multipass Premier, ride all the top rides at selected park for the low low fee of 120pp.
