I want to take all the college kids out for dinner before classes begin in bit more then a week. I'm looking for something nice, a bit upscale and special but not super big $$$. Maybe entrees in the 15-27. range. I have one who likes steak and the others are open.
So far we're considering P.F. Changs and Moshulu on the waterfront. Moshulu would be nice because we could walk around on south street.

I love Moshulu-- haven't been there in a few years, but my boyfriend (now husband) -- took me there for my 25th birthday.

We're big big fans of PFChangs (BIG FANS)-- every single date night in the past 2 years has been there (everyone and their mother gives us gift certificates there because we're such fanatics). So that would be my choice, the food is great but the price is so unbelievably reasonable. Moshulu is more on the pricey side. Charthouse is nice in that area (very pricey).

The Lobster Trap in Pennsauken may be nice for you. Its in the Cooper river park on the border of Cherry Hill/Pennsauken.

Its a seafood restaurant and is pretty large portions and around the price range you are looking for. They have outdoor and indoor seating.

Cheesecake Factory (Cherry Hill) is also very nice. It is hard to get into so there will be a wait involved. The food portions are huge and the cheesecake is fabulous.

There is also a Caffe Lamberti on Rt. 70 near the Wegmans/Cheesecake Factory. Higher end Italian.

Pasta Vino (Maple Shade) is another higher end Italian restaurant. Its on Kings Hwy near the BJ's.

Italian Bistro is another higher end Italian (Cherry Hill) on Chapel Ave and Rt. 38. The food there is very good as well.

I've heard great things about the Collingswood NJ restaurant district theres a one called Passion (its an older house converted--tables are all on a wrap around porch) and there is also one called Tortilla Press?.. thats pretty good as well.

How about White Dog Cafe? They have great food that revolves around fresh, seasonal ingredients from local farmers. The menu offers a good selection that should suit everyone's tastes - from vegetarians to meat-eaters to everyone in between. They also have a gift shop (The Black Cat) next door.

It's very close to the University of Pennsylvania campus so you can stroll around afterwards to help digest. Here's their website: http://www.whitedog.com/

The Melting Pot in the Chestnut Hill section of Philadelphia is a VERY fun and upscale-ish fondue restaurant. It's also a great section of the city to wander around.

La Veranda at Penn's Landing is one of my favorites. If you don't see what you want on the menu, they will whip it up for you. Excellent Italian food ;)

La Veranda sounds very good. I'm also considering the Bonefish Grill.

Bonefish in Deptford? Its always crowded. I go to school near Deptford (Rowan) and if I pass Bonefish its packed. It smells fabulous.. but it always looks packed!

If you're going to the one in Deptford and it's crowded, you can always go next door to Outback Steakhouse. If they're both crowded, don't go to the 99 Steak place, across the street, I hear it's horrible.

There's an Italian restaurant in the strip down a little bit past Bone Fish and Outback, right near the movies, called Pasta Cheech. They have pretty good food and are reasonable.

Over on the other side of the mall, there's Aldephia's. They also have pretty good food.

we have a bonefish down here near me now. It would be nice since it's close. I"m going to see if they do ressies. I've eaten in one in NC and the one here. Both are excellent, pretty reasonable, good service.

also we have alot of things in Atlatic City now such as PF Changs and Cuba Libre.

Wow! I had no idea (obviously). PF Changs, Bonefish down near the shore.. who would have known?

Water Lily in Collingswood, New Jersey is good and in your price range. I think it's French Asian.
