Luckily you can do the virtual queue from your app and not have to stop the rest of your planned activities.

I wish it were that easy! On one cruise I was in the virtual queue for almost an hour and it was hard checking on my status and playing with my daughter in the pool at the same time. Then on the last two days of our cruise, the virtual queue was down and all these people were swarming the desk to get their bookings and placeholders in. Yikes!
