I can't imagine getting worked up over a slice of pizza, personally.
How dare you
I can't imagine getting worked up over a slice of pizza, personally.
I have 3 pizza cutters. I use my chef's knife as well. Works much better than pulling all the cheese off running a pizza cutter through it.There's sooooo much I could say about Costco pizza but will stick to the topic at hand, LOL.
A "pro" knows how to cut 8 even slices if that's the way the pie is served. Half, quarter than 2 diagonal cuts and done.
At home, I use a chef's knife to cut since to my mind a pizza cutter is too specialised a tool for my kitchen's size.
Glad you got the right sized slices ultimately.
Early geometry indoctrinationWhy is a round pizza cut into triangles and then put into a square box?![]()
Because square cardboard boxes are easier and cheaper to manufacture and for employees to fold together than round ones. Why is a round pizza cut into triangles and then put into a square box?![]()

Besides, do we really want to unleash round boxes on certified Dominos life timers.
I don't think they can handle it.
I sometimes get worked up over pizza by the slice since it can be cut unevenly.
Huh. Ok.
I see you need to read Uncle Arthur's Bedtime Stories, the Hollow Pie.I complain when I'm paying the same price as anyone else and I get half as much.
Technically their boxes are hexagonal. Probably to keep it from sloshing around as well as reducing heat loss. They had an octagonal box for a while. Dominos even had patents on their box design.

In my area, the Italian restaurants always cut SQUARES for THIN crust pizza, but slices for thicker crust. I notice the chains like Little Caesars, Dominos, they only do slices.
Frozen pizza in my house is always cut in slices, too.
Chicago thin crust is always cut into squares. (for those discussing squares)View attachment 471433
Technically yes but let us not pretend their boxes are shaped like this.

Technically a hexagon but again mostly rectangular with two small cuts out of it.
I've only seen Sicilian pies sliced into squares or rectangles, not regular round pies. I have never seen a slice of pizza from a regular pizzeria sliced so unevenly that it's even noticeable.
Not an equilateral hexagon, but still a hexagon.
