Pixie Hollow?

It's not open all day, but they do put the times in the Times Guide you get at the park entrance. Sunday, for example, it was 10-5. Also, be forewarned that if Tinkerbell has to be in the parade or some similar activity, the CMs at the entrace will warn you. She will leave, but the other Fairies will remain.

BTW - they are all absolutely charming girls and will simply be a highlight of your day. They interact extremely well with everyone for quite a while, too!

Pixie Hollow? I've never heard of this. Is it new, or have I just missed it the last two times we have been to DLR? Where is it and what does it entail? :confused3

It's the former Ariel's Grotto at Disneyland, to the right of the castle, as you get there from Main Street. Now guests can say hi to Tinkerbell and the other fairies.

It really is neat. My daughter loved meeting the fairies, and they interacted quite a bit with her. Also, the line has a lot to look at, little fairy houses and statues. They did a great job with this attraction, in my opinion.

We never got a chance to visit Pixie Hollow last week. We had planned to do it one morning at opening. We got in line about half an hour before it opened and were about 10th in line. Then a few minutes later, a CM came over and said they wouldn't be opening at its scheduled time and didn't know when it would open. We tried again the next day but it was a bit later and the wait was over 70 minutes. My DD was bummed, she loves Tink but even she didn't want to wait for over an hour. She did peek at Tink through the exit and she was adorable.

My advice is to be one of the first in line. The park opened at 8 and Pixie Hollow opened at 9.

Yes, definitely try that. Especially when it's a hot day. The queue area is pretty much in direct sun with almost no cover. I'm light-sensitive and there was no way I could have done it when the sun was out fully.

We were 4 people the first day, all pin traders. Two of us went in line (ironically the two who didn't want to meet the fairies :rotfl: ) and two checked the lanyards. We were directly in front at rope drop, but in contrast to some people our duo listened to the CMs saying "don't run!" We ended up about halfway down the line and waited for a bit more than 30 minutes.

But it was definitely worth the wait. As it's been said, the line has some very neat things to look at. If somebody's interested I can post some pictures.

The fairies really interact with all guests, even were perfect with our group of all adults. I hadn't seen the Tinker Bell movie at that point so I couldn't comment much on the other fairies, but Tinker Bell was spot on.

They did a wonderful job with this attraction, really. We all enjoyed it.

We did PFF just for the sake of being able to say "we've done it" and my room mate commented: "I went through this wait for *that*?" She wasn't overly impressed. Tinker Bell impressed her enough so she got her photo taken with her. That means something seeing she took the stunning amount of 4 photos with characters during that trip. :rolleyes1

Ooooohhhh! Wait until my girls hear about this! We just watched the Tinkerbell movie (twice). The kids are reading some of the fairy books now. I can just hear the screams of excitement now!

If you get a chance, walk through the queue when the attraction is closed -we did that Sunday night.

It is beautiful. They light the fairy houses and most of the sculptures have lighting on them. Very nice.

Also, you can sneak into the upper pathways to watch the 6:30 parade. We discovered that trick, too. Got a nice quiet viewing point, if you didn't mind the trees.

We just got back from Disney after a day-trip yesterday, and can you believe we missed this!!! It wasn't on the map, and we had walked around it (started with Buzz Lightyear then went to Its a Small World)....by the time I realized where it was, it was too late (there were other shows, etc. that I wanted to see).

I will say, we did wait in line for almost an hour for the Princess attraction...and I felt "eh" about the whole thing. The line looked short (which is why we stayed)...but it took FOREVER. It also didn't help that I had two annoying families both before and after me in line.

Our next trip, Pixie Hollow will be my FIRST stop!

So you can walk through the Pixie Hollow area when the characters aren't there? :cool1: I was wondering if we could do that since we don't have any interest in seeing the characters there but I want to see what the area looks like.
