Ugh. Royal drama? When you theme a trip you really go all the way! ;) As others have said, I am hopeful it will pass. And no matter what, in FOUR DAYS you will be in Disney World!

:santa:

:santa:

What better kind of drama is there than royal drama?

Well, except for no drama at all.

That would be better. :lmao:

Let's just call this the before.

As in before DH brought the bigger suitcase for me to pack in.

DSCI0001-2.jpg

Yup. We had some nice laundry basket non-put-away clothes action going on right there.

DSCI0002-1.jpg

And that pile. That's just me. See those shoes? Mine. Okay, I think HRH's swimsuit is down in that pile somewhere. Seriously, the man thought I was going to fit everything for two of us in that little carry on.

I'm not high maintenance.

I swear!

It's the dang layers! princess: ;)

DSCI0003-1-1.jpg

Never mind this stuff.

Now, I must tell you, I have rearranged all this stuff, and packed about half of what needs to be packed. I've gone about as far as I can go without having HRH's clothes washed, which I'm waiting until Thursday night to do. It's just easier for me to let him go through a full week of outfits and then take fresh clothes out of the dryer to pack.

Now in addition to all of our multitude of layers of clothing accounting for all different kinds of weather, I also had to pack the gifts. Remember the slippers and the bags? Yup. So in addition to my 2 pair of shoes, I've got three pairs of slippers, and HRH's yellow crocs, and his new Hulk crocs.

Oy.

Vey.

I weighed the suitcase just for ha has. It's at about 30 pounds. Already. I'm betting on HRH's stuff weighing in at less than 20 though. :scared:

We keep our toiletries in a separate bag, it just makes it easier to check a toiletry bag than to squeeze it in with the clothes, you know?

Let's just say I'm grateful that HRH's clothes are SO much smaller than mine. :lmao: Because we had a mess of royal proportions going on. Now that I've gotten some packing done I do feel better.

And I'm bringing a little something sentimental, if you will.

I just wasn't feeling any of my hoodies for at night. I want something that's going to keep me nice and toasty warm in case it's hot enough during the day that all I'm wearing is a tank or tee with my jeans, you know?

So I decided to take this.

I knew y'all were jonesin' for a headless shot. It's been a while. ;)

That's a fleece of DH's. I believe it reads 05, Walt Disney World. It's big and warm and comfy, and it's my hubby's. I think we purchased it for him on one of our January trips where it was mega, mega cold one night and we had no coats. And now, I'm taking it back.

Back to the motherland.

Where it belongs. Keeping me warm, and reminding me of the man. :goodvibes

I am a bad PTR reader, I know. But how many nights are you going?? You leave on Saturday and you come back Tuesday....? :confused3 Please excuse my fuzzy brain.

I think it's super duper sweet that you are bringing DH's fleece. :lovestruc

Yup, three nights. :thumbsup2

It's twofold. One, it's his, and that's nice. Two, I think it's a large or and extra large, so it'll easily fit over my clothes.

Oh, and thirdly (even though it was supposed to be twofold) he doesn't wear fleeces that much, because he's so hot all the time. (ha ha ha) So it still has that very, very soft feeling to the lining. :cloud9:

Definitely love that you are taking DH's fleece---that would SO be me!

How big is that new suitcase? I'm sure I could fit inside nicely... 3 days sounds like heaven !!:cloud9:

Okay, I'm hyperventilating! You're going back in a matter of days (HOURS, if you will!) and I'm just over a month behind you... and I'M NOT READY! Your packing pics are going to spur me into organizational action, darn it!

It'll keep me warm, cozy, and remind me of my favorite pirate look alike.

I bet you could fit inside! :thumbsup2

Ugh. I have so much more packing to do. See tonight's update. :lmao:

Your so close!! Three more days!

WOO HOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

By the grace of all that is holy, I was able to get my last bit of trip shopping done today. I just have one prescription to refill before Saturday, and that will complete the quest.

The quest wasn't about the prescription though.

It was about the royal haul.

Oh, yes.

The royal haul.

As in the snacks I plan to take on the plane / on the trip, for several reasons. One being that I live in a state of fear of not having enough snacks for HRH. And a variety. Because he wasn't jazzed about everything I brought in September, so I went for some good ole favorites and some new things we've never had. Which may cause some serious regret on my part, but I'm hoping to call it vacation food and leave it at that. We'll see. He's pretty good about that kind of stuff.

Another reason is that I need breakfast food for myself and him while we're down there. Something that can be eaten easily while on the go, so we're not taking away from potential park time or swim time or whatever time. And the final reason is that Mom and Nana run on a different schedule than HRH and I. As in, they just don't eat as much or as often. My mother, much like my husband, likes one big meal per day, and is pretty much content to snack or eat a little something.

TK?

Not so much.

Now, I don't need a TON of food or anything, but I do need to eat / snack on a regular schedule. Or bad things happen to good people, savvy? And the same is true of HRH. Oh yes. When we don't eat on time we are two cranky peas in a pod. And since the majority of our reservations are for dinner that leaves me wondering what we're going to do for lunch. Now with a toddler, you let the chips fall where they may. If he wants a pretzel from Germany, he's getting a pretzel from Germany. Honestly. I'm going to try to get some good food into him, but seriously? It's one weekend. It's vacation. I think I may spoil him. A little. Just a little, okay? I'm just really, really grateful right now, and I'd like to shower him with a little bit of love.

Which is why I got all this.

DSCI00012-1.jpg

It's for him, and for me, savvy? Well, I could name specifically what's for him. Note the Spongebob DVD up on top there? Oh yeah, baby. This boy LOVES him some Spongebob. As a matter of fact, in addition to his new Hulk slippers, he's also getting new Spongebob jams on this trip. Just a little spoiling, savvy? :rolleyes1 Anyway, he LOVES Spongebob. And he doesn't have any of the DVDs, because I've never been quite ready to go down that road. As in, I know we'll be watching this now all the time. ALL the time. But last night he got so excited over an episode and was so passionate about it, I caved. And I knew when I went to WalMart today, I'd be looking for the one who lives in a pineapple under the sea.

Now I'm not bringing all this stuff in these containers, oh no! I have lots of those nice Ziploc tupperware with the locking lid to distribute different items into. So we'll empty some of the items into those, and decide just how much of each thing we're taking.

Yes, there's a fair bit of junk.

Totally aware.

Totally don't care.

It's vacation.

Spoiling a little. :rolleyes1

The royal haul looks pretty good, eh? And I must give a little shout out to Miss Tinkerebellarella. I would never have known that HRH liked ring pops so much if it weren't for you. ;)

loving the snack haul... think of all the souvie room you'll have in the suitcase for the way home after it's all eaten...:rolleyes1

Um, about that.

Yeah.

Didn't put it in the post, but most likely I will be taking the larger suitcase AND the rollaboard.

Yup. And honestly, the rollaboard will be mostly empty, except for food. But I really think we need something empty for souvies, and if I'm going to procure any amount of gingerbread, or other items, we need a safe place to put it dagnabit.

I think the Royal Haul looks simply Royal-iffic!

Spoiling is good. Special trip for HRH with the special ladies = spoiling. :thumbsup2

Thank you for enabling me. :lmao:

Seriously, I just want to have a variety of stuff I know he / I will eat, even if some of it is absolute junk. You know? I'd rather get something in him than nothing!

Mmmm, treats! ;)

Vacations are meant for spoiling -- for everyone, moms, nanas, and HRHs. :thumbsup2

I LOVE how you all enable me so.

How excited am I to be getting whatever little holiday type treats and goodies I can find down there? Yet another reason to pack a virtually empty suitcase. I'm afraid their will be a ROYAL Disney haul, too! :lmao:

The Royal haul looks delectable---in snacking terms at least!!! 5-star snacking we have going on there! And I SO totally agree about letting what happens happen BECAUSE it IS vaca baby!!!!!! Yay for TK---it is SO almost here!!!!! Lucky pirate!!! ;o)

I knew you would see things my way. After hearing how you love to spoil your precious girl on vacation, I knew I'd have a friend in you. ;)

Oh boy.

Two days.

Two days to finish all my packing.

Two days until I go to Disney World.

I'm so focused on everything that needs to get done that I woke up at 530 this morning and couldn't fall back asleep. I'm pretty sure I did this before my last trip, too. It's just that the brain is reeling from all the different things that need to be accomplished before Saturday, when I can finally breathe again!

Speaking of breathing, man are my allergies yucky right now! :lmao:

Anyway, my biggest debate is whether or not to take that rollaboard suitcase or pack a flat duffel and try to squeeze everything into one. I'm just worried about being able to negotiate the luggage when we get to the resort. We'll do curbside check-in for our flights, so that's not an issue, you know? And I guess at the resort, we could use bell services.

Basically I have
Gate-Check - The Stroller
On The Plane - The Rascally Devil (diaper bag of sorts, even though he's not in diapers anymore we still call it this, and it acts as my purse)
Batman Backpack (snacks, extra set of clothes, DVD player)
Nemo Backpack (HRH will carry this with his toys and the Nintendo DS)
Checked Luggage - Small Tolietry Bag
Medium Suitcase
(Possible Carry On Size Suitcase)

So what do you all think? Save myself the headache of trying to squeeze everything in and just go for the extra suitcase. Or just pack the duffel flat and let the chips fall where they may.

I'm open to suggestions. After trying to pack some of the snacks last night, I thought OMG, how am I going to make this all fit. :lmao:

Ah well.

It'll all come together when I wash HRH's clothes tonight.

By the way...

TWO DAYS!!!!!!!!!

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :yay: :yay: :yay:   :flower3:
