More hugs for your grandfather because you can never have too many hugs.

Wow! TK is making a list, how very unpirate of you! ;)

Layers, layers, layers. Definitely bring a sweatshirt and a medium jacket. Don't forget that the 45 won't actually occur until late, late, late at night. Warm pjs are a must -- are you planning a mid-afternoon rest each day or no?

Thank you, hon. I love a good skittle hug.

Well, don't forget on this trip, I'm masquerading as a lady. ;)

Even if I do call my new bag a Rascally Devil. :lmao:

Okay. So if it's 65 during the day, when can I expect the temperature to really drop? I'm just curious how much I should be carrying around with us during the day. I'm thinking for HRH, dress him in a long sleeve tee, and then carry his hoodie as well. Should I be carrying around his winter jacket too since I know we'll be out at night?

We don't really plan on going back to the room for a break, because HRH doesn't nap in the room, on vacation, he only naps in his stroller. Although, I suppose if I'm in Epcot (first day) it would be easy enough to go back to the hotel, but honestly I think that would kill too much time.

I'm just trying to figure out what I should bring with me each day, because I never leave anything in the stroller when we go on rides, so I'm going to be hauling it all, savvy?

I can't believe you'll be there in less than a week again! And I can't wait to hear ALL about it!

Do you have a jacket that is midway between heavy and light? You probably won't need a really heavy New England-type winter jacket for DS. I would do the long-sleeve tee, the hoody, and a medium weight jacket for the evenings. It all depends on if the wind is blowing -- that can just cut right through you.

If it were me, I would plan on jeans, a long-sleeve tee layered with a short sleeve tee, and a medium jacket or a hoody -- because you will be walking which will add body heat. If DS does the stroller thing in the evenings, I would make sure to have a really thick hoody or a medium jacket.

I would think that even if you were to stay until 10:00ish, it still wouldn't drop much past 55 degrees.

Thanks, hon. I do have a mid-weight coat that is just perfect for layering. For DS, not really. But I think he'll be okay if we do long sleeve tees, hoodie, and even his winter coat, or maybe some heavier blankets. I plan on bringing two fleeces from home, so that should help too.

Well, we've got FIVE DAYS!

And I'm still royally sick. Getting better, but just worn out. Broken down. In need of a little Disney magic.

Okay, correction. In need of a LOT of Disney magic. I am very, very grateful to be taking this trip. There's a lot of stress going on in my family right now, for various reasons, and I'm aware but trying to push it aside. And enjoy what I have. If that makes any sense. I don't promise to be coherent while I'm sick, folks, so take this post for what it's worth.

The mad ramblings of a woman who still needs to pack.

And get snacks for the plane.

And breakfast food for herself and HRH for in the room.

And some extra stuff at WalMart.

You know, usual before trip whatnot. I hope to get it done tomorrow while DS is at preschool. I also have a pair of pants being hemmed that will be ready for pick up tomorrow, and I'm excited about those. They're a nice pair of wide leg khakis, I'm thinking of wearing them on our Epcot day. A little dressier for Chefs de France with a nice top, you know?

So DH brought out a suitcase from the storage unit, but it's way too small. There's no way I can pack myself and HRH in a carry on. Ha. Ha. Ha. Honestly, it wouldn't be an issue if I didn't need to bring so many dang layers! I just can't predict the weather and I want to be prepared.

I did go through all the toiletries, and put everything together so that's easy to pack, and put the last minute items in on Saturday. Wow, Saturday.

In five days, I will be in Disney...

In five days, I will be in Disney...

Even though I'm a lady I can kidnap Jack Sparrow...

Heh heh. ;)

I have a feeling that no matter what you will be on a plane in five days. Just remember, you can buy anything you forget. :)

That's totally my feeling as well. As long as I have our meds, anything else is easily replaced.

Five days!! Yahoooooooo!!! I am so excited for you. :thumbsup2

Thanks. I'd like to do a woo hoo, but it'd be more like a whimper right now. Too tired. Must nap. Will HRH oblige me? Doubtful.

Everything about this trip is royal.

There are a lot of choice phrases for what's going on in my family right now, but let's just call it drama of royal proportions.

And leave it at that.

Otherwise this whole chapter would be all about why I'm a black sheep, yadda yadda, blah blah, and I don't have my priorities in order. For footnotes, see the Lapuette thread. I don't have a link in my siggie, but plenty of my readers do. :lmao:

So we're four days out and I'm royally unprepared.

I still need to get to Walmart, pull the larger suitcase from the storage unit, get packed, and somehow manage to appease the family grumblings.

All while getting over this flu / cold / whatever it is now. Scratchy throat, headache, and icky feelings in general.

Such is life. Not always pretty. Far from perfect. But hopefully good.

That's all I can ask for at this point.

The strength and fortitude to have courage at the mast. To carry on, to muddle through, and to make sure that HRH has the best weekend ever. That's what keeps me going right now. My little peanut. The thought of him seeing the lights, the castle, the look of awe.

It's that thought that keeps me sane.

That thought that keeps me moving one foot in front of the other when I'd like nothing more than to curl up in a ball and sleep.

At this point, it'll be a relief to go to work. At least then I'll have an excuse for being so unhelpful. :confused3

Ah well.

In four days I'll be in Disney.

In four days I'll be in Disney.

In four days I can kidnap Jack Sparrow.

Heh heh.

Forget the family drama for now, it will all pass in its' due time......just focus on what you and HRH will be doing and seeing in 4 MORE DAYS!!!!! So happy for you that you get to enjoy that Mother's Joy SO SOON!

Hooray for four days!!!

Hope you feel better soon - either way sick in Disney is a heck of a lot better than sick at home

*looks around...are my coworkers watching me type this at work?*

HOW, HOW did I miss this?

I will definitely have to actually pay attention to signature links...But I figured...since you were full on doing a TR...that you weren't going back...like NOW! So soon?!?!

Oh, I am so, so jealous!

I have not read any of it...and it will have to wait till tonight. Although your Nana sounds really nice! :) And your Mom, too! :) And HRH! Of course...

Anyway...more later...after I read this...when I get HOME, of course! :) Because I would not want to fall out laughing or start crying at work now, would I? :)

Yes, TK, hold onto the thought of four days at all cost! Because, no matter what, you are headed to Disney on Saturday!

Thank you, CP!

And thank you all so much. You really help feed into the enthusiasm. Honestly, it hasn't hit my full force yet. I'm expecting that to come Friday night when I'm running around packing like a madwoman.
