Yep... very excited over here. Plush ewoks?! I loved the ewoks. Will have to check those out!! :thumbsup2

Shoot!!! I missed Star Wars last night... I caught Empire strikes back the night before and was looking forward to more...

KWYM about dressing room drama. Last time I went into a dressing room with DD4 - she kept commenting on my "floppy ****ies" I think the lady in the next stall peed herself from laughing so hard! As if bathing suit shopping isn't difficult enough!

Let the shopping begin.

The returns will follow. :lmao:

Laughed out loud when I read this!

We're watching Star Wars right now, and all I can think of is "Revenge of the Shoe" instead of Revenge of the Sith! :lmao:

Have I ever told you all how much I love Ewoks? Every time I go that store in DHS I'm so tempted to get a little plush one, but we have SO many stuffed animals already.:lmao:

Marc is flicking between Star Wars and Dawn of the Dead.
Ewoks are quite cute. I had an Ewok when I was little.

Oh, I missed all the Star Wars talk! Yes, Ewoks are adorable, but there is one character that is far cuter in my eyes! Wanna guess? :lmao:

AHHHHH yesssss..........the far-too overexplaining and detailing daughter......I know her well!!!!!! "Mommy, why are your ****ies so big, and mine are so little?" "Mommy, did you use my markers to draw those lines on your belly?" (referencing my scars from my c-section and gall bladder surgeries) "Mommy, how come your butt is so big and mine is tiny"..........oh yes, these are actual statements that have come out of her mouth during dressing room fittings!!! Out of the mouth of babes, huh?

Yes, Ewoks are adorable, but there is one character that is far cuter in my eyes! Wanna guess? :lmao:

Oh gee, let me see..........I know I should know this......hmmm is it the Wookie?..........................no........................oh you would think this would be so easy...................maybe Luke Skywalker?..........................no that doesn't seem right either.........................................oh wait...............I know it......................YODA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hee hee heeeee HA HA HAAAAAA!!!!! :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:  Like WE don't know who you might think is more adorable!!!! ;)

TK---I thought the shoes look great!!! Gotta love all things TEVA, but I am worried for you for the sweaty foot problem---I know how annoying that can be---could you slip in a Dr. Scholls to help curb that problem?

:scared1: :scared1:

Ok this is a first !!! I have been censored on the DIS ...

Sorry - The word is used so freely in my house it didn't occur to me that it may be questionable.

Although I think the edited version leaves too much to the imagination. Everyone will be wondering which of my parts were floppy!

:rotfl:

I have made a note to my future self to never bring my kids into a public dressing room with me. :thumbsup2

Well, you can try to uphold that............but it won't last long and then you will HAVE to take them with you..........AND it also happens in bathroom stalls..........AND YES, there will come a time when they will have to accompany you in there too!!!! Yeah..........the JOYS of motherhood!!!!

I am famillar with most of these already. My ex had two daughters. I never did take them clothes shopping with me though, at least not by myself that way I didn't have to bring them in with me.

Don't even get me started on our bathroom antics!!

The shoes are really cute TK. They look pretty comfy. I'll be crossing my fingers for you that they stay that way.

The dressing room antics made me laugh out loud. On my past vacation I had to take my younger niece to the bathroom. I had to go myself, and since no one else had come with us she had to stay in the stall with me. I was almost overcome with the giggles when she told me she wanted to check out what I looked like in my more private areas. When I told her no, she had to look away she was adament that she knew what her mom looked like so why not? :lmao: I think I heard the woman in the stall next to me giggle.

So not only is time for new shoes, it's also time for a new wardrobe.

In the name of all that is sweet woman!

I will not jinx TK. I will not jinx TK. I will not jinx TK.

;)

because it really just wouldn't be a TK PTR without some pictures of my feet.

Um.

Correction.

It would not be a TK PTR without a headless TK picture.

Every time I go that store in DHS

DHS.
DHS?
No MGM???!!!

Have you turned to the Dark Side? :darth:

There's nothing like the eyes of a child to bring out the truth, no matter how much we don't want to hear it! :lmao:

Thanks! Actually I plan to post about them again soon. :thumbsup2

Honey, hate to break it to you, but unless you go the internet route like me, you won't have a choice. ;)

Well, those are coming. Otherwise this just wouldn't be official. Plus I got a really cute top. Of all the things I ordered, and let me tell you, it was A LOT, I ended up with so little. But that's coming up in a new post.:thumbsup2

DHS.

I don't know how that slipped. Seriously, what is wrong with me? You know the dark side has cookies? It must be the cookies.

I know you've all been waiting for this one, right?

DYING to know the plans! The schedule. The itinerary. The royal goings on.

And you'll hear about them. In due course.

Because as much as I anticipate this trip...anxiously, nervously, excitedly, that's how I want you to feel about hearing our plans. Take the journey with me, my friends.

Let's not talk about how many times these plans have changed. Let's just run with what we have, because Mom and I have worked on this so many times, it's not something I care to discuss anymore. ;) In all seriousness, originally this was just a girls trip. And the plans were more befitting the royal ladies, without so much consideration for his royal highness. Once we added him in, some shuffling needed to be done.

I can distinctly remember the day we sat down and I made a list from memory of each of the things, whether it be viewing Christmas decorations or going on particular rides, and Mom and I hashed it all out. How could we best do everything.

Well, we really couldn't do everything in four days. But we could sure as heck cram in what was most important to us, with careful consideration of two members of our party.

HRH.

And Nana.

Now, HRH for the obvious reasons. He's 3, and you can only expect so much, savvy? And having gone in September, we well know what to expect. :thumbsup2

Now, Nana, for not so obvious reasons. Suffice it to say we don't want to run the poor woman ragged! Not that she's not game for it. She will keep on trucking and plugging along until she's ready to fall asleep. Literally. But I don't want to embarass her in case she and Mom ever get their hot little hands on this. Let's just say it's important to be respectful of everyone in your party and what they'd like to do. Plus, Nana needs an ECV. It took A LOT to get to this point. To get to the point of her acknowledging it was a good idea. And it's really a necessity for Epcot, where there's SO much walking involved, and we do love the World Showcase. So bear in mind we're dealing with a very strong-minded woman who raised a very strong-minded daughter who in turn raised another strong-minded daughter.

It can certainly make things interesting. However, if we'd like to get into deep pyschology and talk about birth order, I'm the baby in the family. I have one older sister. Therefore, as the second child, I often embody the role of the pacifist. The moderator. The one who can dispell the tension in any given situation. It comes in handy, but it's a tough job, folks.

So let's just say that A LOT of thought went into the plans. A lot.

And now I'll regale you with day number one.

I know, finally, right? ;)

Saturday, December 6, 2008 ~ Day One

Okay, before we get to the plans, can we just take an aside here and talk about how excited I am that I'm not working on a Saturday! :yay: Let's not focus on how crazy it's going to be to work all day Friday and then leave the next day, no, we shall not dwell on that. We'll save that for the freak out right before I leave. ;)

So, Saturday will dawn quite nicely for TK and HRH. In many senses, but mostly in the sense that no waking up early is required for this trip. Oh no, we've entered the world of livable flight times! :thumbsup2

We leave at 11:25 am and get into Orlando at 2:35 pm. Oh, heaven. :cloud9: Oh, how I love livable flight times. How you spoil me so.

Now, I'll be taking on the role of DH for some portions of this trip. Which I'm sure will make for a very, very funny trip report. As in, I'll be doing all the handling of the luggage, car seat, and various toddler paraphenalia. Which means I will also be finding the most efficient, effective, least possible amount of luggage to travel for this trip. Perhaps I'll limit myself to two pairs of shoes. ;)

Suffice it to say, it will be new to me. And it's not that I don't know how to do these things, or that I'm not fully capable, I just think it's going to result in some hilarious moments. You can all thank me now, if you like. ;)

When we arrive, we'll get our luggage and meet up with...you guessed it...Mr. Transportation! We love him. He's really part of our family.

We'll chat and catch up as he drives us to...THE YACHT CLUB    ...and I'm sure he'll tease us about having just been there.

Who's more excited than me about that first look at the World decorated for the holidays? Except for Mom...and Nana...and maybe HRH, once we explain it to him. Although, he does tell us quite frequently now that he is "going to Disneyworld in December." :thumbsup2

So we'll arrive, and take it in. Check in and hopefully get a room that works well for us. Speaking of which, who can give me a clue as to what to request? I need something where Nana wouldn't have to do a ton of walking to get to the boat to Epcot / MGM, or close to the lobby, I guess? Perhaps near an elevator even, if it's on a different floor. I'm on the FAQ thread, but haven't found anything yet. Feel free to chime in if you know, because I'm hoping to fax or call in a request before we leave.

Anyway, we'll get situated, and for our first day we'll head to MGM. Now this day flipped and flopped a lot in the original plans. Where would we go on our first day, what did we want to see? And we'd originally scheduled something else, but it just didn't make sense.

And truthfully, there's not much that Mom and Nana like to do in MGM, other than ride on TSM and...

EAT AT THE BROWN DERBY!!!! :yay:

So we have a reservation for 5:10 pm at the Brown Derby. And one of the reasons I'm so excited about this is because not only is it the Brown Derby, but for the first day it makes sense. Since you can boat over from the Yacht Club it's going to be a relaxed day. We can take our time, unpack, and head on over, you know? It just makes sense, and gives me less anxiety about trying to "be somewhere." Because when traveling with Mom and Nana, you will have a reservation for dinner your first night. Whereas I prefer to just get there. And relax, and let the chips fall where they may.

Now this, is a nice compromise.

Our plans are simple. Ride TSM if we can. Eat dinner at the Brown Derby. See the Osbourne Lights.

That's.

It.

Nothing fancy, nothing crazy, nothing insane. Just three simple things. I can't wait.

Up next - Day Two

or another clothing post, I haven't decided yet... ;)

That sounds like lovely first day plans. Just taking it nice and easy!

I have a feeling the actual TR of this trip is going to be freaking hilarious. I can't wait to hear about the details of your Trip!

Ohhhhhh.....the Osbourne Lights on the first night AND the BROWN DERBY!!!! I don't think it will get any better than that!!! I love those lights!!! I SERIOUSLY cried last year when we saw them---Megs was sitting up on Tom's shoulders---her favorite spot---and they started the "snow" and the lights and the music, and I SWEAR I had died and gone to Christmas HEAVEN!!!! It was so wonderful---none of us wanted to leave that spectacle!!!!

After all those memories, he still doesn't want to go back? ;)

Oh, what a sweet memory!

When Mom talks about what DS will like, she thinks he'll be absolutely memorized by the lights. I think she's right. Whenever we go to a store during the holiday season, he loves to look at the Christmas displays, and he loves when we put up our tree. Having never seen the Osbourne lights, I think it'll be wonderful to share that with him.

May I ask, what time does it "snow"? Is it all night, or just a certain time?

The snow stops and starts off and on---I doubt you will miss it!! I have some pics if you want a sneak peek---but if you would rather wait to see for yourself, I understand!
