I found this post on "another" site

We have just received word on a new dining experience that is due to debut shortly onboard.

It is called Pirates in the Caribbean and appears to be an interactive dining show that will be performed in one of the restaurants (presumable Parrot Cay?) nightly. Further details are to be released in the middle of November.

Does anyone know any of the details on this? I know we've been hearing of "Pirate" nights, but seems they've rolled something for formal out. Anyone have a report?

Thanx

They've been doing the Pirates IN the Caribbean dinner and deck party on the Magic since September I believe. It's a special menu and deck party themed with Pirates. The servers dress up as Pirates, and the deck party is also a blast. It is my understanding they will be rolling this themed night out on the Wonder sometime early next year.

This was my favorite day of the Thanksgiving cruise! The Pirates In the Caribbean dinner and party was a blast. My son shared his "pirates" headwear today in class, actually. :)

There was a big buffet after the dinner (I didn't touch it, too full from dinner but it looked great) and lots of music and dancing. The servers put on a fun dance in the middle of dinner. It was great.

Another cool thing about pirate night is the special paper the menu is printed on as a keepsake....it is rolled up like a pirate map/scroll....cool looking and you get to take it home!!!

Pirates IN the Caribbean started before September. We cruised on the August 28th Magic and it was already being done before that because I remember reading about it before our cruise. The deck show that night was AMAZING!!! At dinner that night the servers did do some kind of small singing thing, I vaguely remember it now though.

We just got off the 11/27 cruise and they have added fireworks to te Pirate deck party.

I haven't posted on the boards in awhile but those who remember me I am sure understand! Living and working on the Magic doesn't not allow for much internet time! Plus when I am off I would much rather do things like ... Going to the Pirate party!
I have to say the Pirate Party is a MUST SEE! I love it I go EVERY chance I get. I boarded the ship when the party was in it's second or third week. It is getting better and better, and I think there are still more surprise in store before the party is complete. :) I encourage all of you crusing to go! It is SO MUCH FUN. pirate:

yodasdabomb will you be working onboard the Magic during the August Repo cruise?? If so please come over to out thread on the cruise meet board and say hello...Mark

The Magic is doing a four day itinerary after the Christmas 10 day. Do you think they will have a Pirate's night on the shortened cruise? What day does it take place on?

I'm still waiting for the Johnny Depp character (Captain Jack Sparrow) to come onboard! Any volunteers for his First Mate?!

Rae: In the new Pirates deck party there IS a man dressed just like Jack Sparrow who actually repels into the party down the side of one of the stacks! It was quite amazing ::yes:: Maybe they should add him to the list of characters that you can pose for a photo with, or get an autograph of. :teeth:

That character was out and about during the final farewell, FYI. Not many seemed to want to take pics with him or chat. But he was out and about in the atrium. This was on the 11/27/04 sailing.

On another Disney Cruise information site (disneycruiser) you can see a copy of the Pirate menu if you look at the 3,4, 7 night menus.

We are already planning our Sept. '05 activities and now having to pack pirate gear will require another suitcase! I am glad I do not have to fly they would take my sword! I hope cutlasses are OK wardrobe attire.

We are traveling on a & day eastern Cruise what night is the Pirate night? Do many people dressup that night ? My DW wants to dress up.

our pirates nite (eastern 11/27) was the st. maartens night. our dining room was at animators palate....not parrot cay. each person gets the jack sparrow head thing. i don't know what they call it.

Just be prepared to wait, and wait... I had read so much about the Pirate's Deck Party. We had early dinner, and did not go to the movie after. We kicked around the ship, then went up to the deck and watched the eclipse of the full moon, pre-show entertainment on this cruise only. By the time the CMs showed up, started music, and dancing began it was just too late. We hung in with one of our kids asleep in the deck chairs, watched some dancing, then finally gave up. Can someone post the time that all the wilder stuff starts? We certainly could not keep our kids up late enough to see it. Still wondering what the big deal is...

Oh this sounds like so much fun!! Does anyone know if it will be on the Wonder as well?? My son would love this--his favorite movie is Pirates of the Caribbean..... pirate:

Last week they had a Mariachi (sp sorry!) band perform during dinner. They came around to all the tables. It was quite nice. We also enjoyed the fireworks!
