Pirates and Pals fireworks cruise

When you make reservations for the Pirates and Pals fireworks cruise do you have to pay right away?
How long do you have to cancel and still get your money back? If you make a reservation for 4 can you cancel just one?
we are planning on going to WDW in June with two of our sons age 12 and 17. They would actually really enjoy this. The problem is our 17 year old has some issues and one of them is he seems to have trouble if he doesn't go to bed around. He is trying to work on it because he really doesn't want to go to bed so early especially at WDW. I know if I wait to last minute we probably won't be able to get reservations if we think he can handle it. I was thinking of booking it and then if it gets closer and we know he just isnt going to be able to handle it I would have to cancel.

Also does anyone know if the boat is handicap accessible? I will be using an ECV but can get off and walk onto boat depending how the entrance is.
Also are there seats on the boat? I will not be able to stand the whole time.

You do pay right away for it. I don't remember how far in advance you have to cancel.

ok so i love the pirate and palls cruise!!

to answer your questions yes you will be billed when you reserve and i would reserve early! only two boats go out during the event, and they have a limited number of seats! i believe you have the 24hr cancelation window! but simply chat message with disney and they can verify that for you!

the boat is handicap accessible they have a ramp and an area for handicap its one spot by another seat so you aren't by yourself, i use a walker and turn it around and sit in it! also make sure they know you will be needing the handicap assistance and usually you get the best side of the boat!!

its all sit down so everyone will be seated during the ride and viewing!

its totally worth it and usually done by 10:30 pm depending on night you go!

really hope you do it its truly worth it!! plus you meet awesome characters!!
