hi all. just got back yesterday from my disney trip with family. as usual it was awesome (although really hot!)

we are going back in September for my sons 7th b-day and i was thinking about taking my him to the pirate adventure dinner thing.

i also want to take my mom and dw to cirque at downtown disney.

my question is...

are any of these good for a just turned 7 yo or the money that i will spend at the pirates be better spent taking him to islands of adventure for the first time?

he is into video games and x games. loves disney all its parks as well as universal.

please help.

thanks!!!!!!!

wow seems interesting. thank you for the link.

how about cirque du soleil? has anyone taken their young ones?
did they like it?

thanks!

We took our DS age 6 at the time to Cirque when it was in our town. He LOVED it. While we have not been to the Cirque in Orlando, I'm sure the show is similiar. Cirque is incredible. It is hard to describe. IMHO your son and the whole family will truly enjoy this experience. Go for it.

Does anyone have an opinion on how a 4 year old would do at Cirque? He likes to watch the ones on TV and generally can sit still for a while. Does anyone know if they have an intermission?

TIA:sunny:

hello. thanks for all the great info.

my son seems to want to do different things at disney. we go sometimes 9x a year since we are only 300 miles away.

i saw the pirates brochure and thought he would love it.
but wanted to get opinions and reviews before i invested so much money. does anyone know how to get those buy one get one free tickets???

as for cirque, my mom and dw love it. we were thinking that if it was to much for a 6 y.o. to handle we would spare him the torture and do a no kids disney trip to check out the show.

thanks to all and if anyone has anymore tips or suggestions they will be more than appreciated.

as for intermission, i believe they do have one.
