Pirate Dinner-any comments?

I would imagine they can order off any menu but you would have to pay that price. My girls had the chicken, it was not gourmet by any standards. lol I did like the choices better at PA, MT you had 1 menu and if you didn't like it you were out of luck. Both places DO have vegetarian options available but you do have to request those beforehand. If you do the PA get there early!! They have a pre-show and tons of appetizers. Good appetizers, like shrimp cocktail! But once it's gone it's gone so get there early! LOL

Hi Pixiewings,

PA suggest 90 minutes early, does that sound right? Did your family enjoy the show? Did you upgrade your seating? TIA :flower3:

we did midevil it was grate, we are doing pirates dinner too in oct and im looking forward to it, its the same price as our midevil tickets were and we are not going to compair midevil were going becouse the pirate show and dinner. I suggest going to it some have bad excpirnces others have good ones.

We did upgrade our seats but really any seats would have great views. We were in the second row at the end of our row. First row seats are right at stage/ship level. We got there about an hour early, had we been earlier we would have had first row seats. I would say yes, that's about right, as I said they do have a stage show inside and they have appetizers all over so you can snack a bit before your meal. We enjoyed it very much. My girls both got to participate at the end, they were adorable!! and my SO got to participate twice. LOL I think because he was at the end, it was easy for them to pick him. They just tapped him on the shoulder and asked if he wanted to participate and he said yes. I had to encourage the kids, they were a little unsure. :) I didn't get any really good pics, it's dark in there and they ask for no flash so the actors don't get hurt so my pics are all really dark. The food was good, the show was GREAT and after the girls got to meet all the pirates and the princess, they loved that. My kids ages are in my siggy if that helps. :)

Thanks Pixiewings!

My boys are 15 and 14, but our friends kiddos are 9 and 12 and none of us have seen this show. We'll probably upgrade when we get there and we will leave DL in time to get there 90 minutes before the scheduled time. Can you walk around and look at things while you are waiting, or is it strictly stand and wait?

Hi everyone,

We are just back from a perfect week at Disneyland! The weather was beautiful, there weren't too many people, and we had a blast!

Our two families went to the Pirate Adventure Dinner on Thursday of last week and we enjoyed it very much! Here's my review:

We bought our tickets online so we couldn't upgrade at the time of purchase. I tried to upgrade at the time of check-in but we weren't able to. We arrived 90 minutes early as suggested and had an easy time parking and went into the entry area and had just okay appetizers. Drinks were available and were pretty reasonable.

When we were seated, we were thrilled to be right in the front row of the green section (best looking pirate by far!! )! Add my DH getting picked on at the beginning, my friend being one of the rope pullers and her daughter being picked to participate twice during the show, we had a ball!

The food was a choice of chicken with beef, chicken with shrimp, or a kid meal with chicken fingers. We all picked differently and everyone seemed okay with what they had. The salad was just a plain lettuce mix with ranch out of a cup. The dessert was soooo yummy! It was a warm apple pie or crisp with ice cream and chocolate sauce. YUM! All the food was much better than MT.

My family really enjoyed the show! It was very physical and moved all over the stage/ship. We enjoyed the interaction with the people in the audience and thought the whole production was pretty well done!

Overall, we would do the Pirate Dinner again in a heartbeat! Welll worth the time and the expense for an enjoyable evening!
