Piper's Practically Perfect PTR..Wish Trip! 3/2-8...Upd Pg 126- TR Link!! Hooray!

crummy timing for your jeep! I hope it's a quick, cheap, and simple fix for you. Sooooo happy to hear she gets a pass on the appointment for today though. I'm praying that she continues to get better and stay away from Club Med!

I love the Cinderella night gown1 So excited Piper loved her first gift from the Big Give! Excited to follow along as more begin to arrive :)

Oh my gosh!!! I just love everything Piper got from the Big Give :goodvibes That smile of hers in the gown just says it all. You can really tell how grateful she is and that she truly appreciates everything.
Hoping the Jeep issue isn't anything big....the style Jeep you have lasts forever (I sell cars ;)) so hopefully it's just an O2 sensor or something stupid. :)
I can't tell you how excited I am for your trip! I think I am more excited for yours than I am for mine!! :yay:

Tracy

Thank you, Tracy  You know my brother said the same thing about the Jeep when I told him, here's hoping you guys have it down! We're getting more excited with each link of the chain coming off, I think, and the Big Give and pixie dust we've received just adds to that!

Thanks, Stefani! I called the clinic as soon as it happened to explain the situation, and told Piper they said it was fine for her to be home for a few more days...she was so excited about the car breaking down and not going into the hospital..LOL. It prob would have been hilarious to be a fly on the window of the jeep watching us..with her all excited and happy, and me pretty much fuming and muttering under my breath as we went 30 mph down a 60 mph highway with my hazards on!.. :lmao:

Thank you! We're excited too ;)

We had a Jeep Grand Cherokee (a 90 something, don't remember) and every single time we took it in for a repair it cost us 300 or so. We started to joke before we took it that it's going to cost 300. This was totally varied repairs in 3 different states. I broke the side mirror off once - 300. A new valve - 300. We laugh about it now, but that 300 is how we budgeted for a new car.

That is funny, Melissa..I don't think I've paid over 300 for anything yet except new tires..should have researched THAT before buying it..LOL. Other than that though, I really do love it. I would buy another in a heartbeat! (It's a '98)

How lovely that Piper is not at the hospital

and Piper you look fabulous in your gown! I can't wait to see what autograph book you picked :goodvibes

Very very sorry about the Jeep but happy you came home to a Big Give email, how fun!

We're happy to be home as well! I thought we'd have time for her to get online tonight, but by the time she ate dinner and got meds done it was going on 9:30! She'll update tomorrow. :goodvibes: It was awesome coming home to something fun instead of all bad news!

Yay for no hospital!!:banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:

durring our 'struggling" years, we had some really crappy cars, but they taught me to be thankful for when and where they broke down on me. It was never more than a few miles from home.

Thank you, we're excited for the no hospital too!!

Exactly, I don't know what I would have done (literally) if we had been another 25 miles down the road. I wouldn't have dared drive it back 50 miles, and everyone in our extended family works. I was very thankful we weren't further along.

Thank Heavens you were able to get home without it getting worse. Tow trucks arent' cheap either! Do hope it's not an arm and leg to get the work done on it.

I'll bet Piper is tickled she doesn't have to get admitted!!!

Looking forward to seeing what you chose, Piper, for those books!!!

Oh boy....I can't find the pictures of the Big Give...:rotfl: This thread adds like 9 pages every day...:rotfl: Can you tell me what page the pictures are on...please...:lovestruc

Thank you! I am planning to do Littlest Heroes, but I want to wait another year or two, I think, when she's a bit less "cheesy" smile..lol. I have seen some pics of ones people have done at GKTW and they were gorgeous! The other thing is that it will be another special treat for her to look forward to that will only happen once..so will save it for another time she needs a great boost!

Great suggestion - you should definitely do this Amanda! We did the LIttlest Heroes Project with Bella and the photos were amazing! Something we will cherish forever!

I definitely will, Stefani, probably when Piper is 11 or 12. When did you have Bella's done? And can see some? *grin*

Ok, you guys have to clue me in here. What is the littlest hero photo's??

I was wondering that myself :rotfl:

The Littlest Hero Project is basically a network of photographers who donate their time and talent to do portraits of children with chronic/terminal illnesses. There are some in FL who will go to Give Kids the World/Disney resorts to do photo sessions, but you can also get it done at home, a local studio, etc. It's completely free, including a photo package or cd with all the photos on it. Jennifer, if it's something you're interested in there's a link on the first page of the the wish trippers thread, I think!

On a sidenote..Jeepie has been fixed..it was the throttle position sensor (?) which I didn't know existed, but apparently is a $200 fix. The same mechanic also works on my mom cars..apparently after I dropped it off she called them and told them to call her with the problem and the bill (!) :headache: which I genuinely appreciate, but I hate it when she does things like that without asking me first. Anyway, we'll have him back tonight..hooray! He knows our situation and is very good about getting Jeepie fixed quickly when there's a problem. Again, another person who is very good to us!
