We've started doing Piper responses in pink, much easier to keep up with that way! Now onto the update...Imagine yourself driving leisurely down the highway with your daughter talking your ear off.. all of a sudden you feel your car start to hesitate..and your check engine light comes on..what do you get? No Dr's appt. and the added stress of a car repair bill coming your way! :headache: On the upside, we were only about 25 miles from home and I was able to baby it back to town and to my mechanic without any further problems. Also on the upside, her numbers were up again this morning, she's satting at 92 off the O2 and down to 1.5 liters. I called our Dr's NP and explained the situation and they were fine with continuing the home IVs until the jeep gets fixed and we can get to C'ville. Though I'm not particularly happy about it, life happens, often at the most inconvenient times. I was cheered up greatly though when I signed onto the boards and saw a pm from MCazer..Margaret, a wonderful lady who's been doing autograph books and cases for wish families! So Piper and I had a good time looking at her e-bay site and picking out autograph books, and Piper is very excited to see them when they come in the mail. I'll post a pic when they arrive, but if anyone is planning a trip and needs books, let me know and I'll pm you a link to her e-bay site..the books are adorable and come in 115!!! different themes! Thank you all for the well wishes..I'll keep you updated on the jeep (really hoping it's something minor) and the Dr's appt!

Ugh car trouble! :headache: Unexpected bills are the worst! I am happy to hear Piper gets to be home with you though! :goodvibes

:yay: For the autograph book! Phoebe and Tessa's are so cute! I can't wait to see what Piper picks! popcorn::

Bummer about the jeep but glad you made it back into town Ok. :cool1: about the autograph books. Margaret is wonderful and her work is amazing! I know Piper is going to love it. So now you get to unpack.

I second (or is it third or fourth?) the seal of approval for Margaret! She's so creative and talented.

I also agree that Piper is ready for her own user name! (With mom's supervision of course.) It would be SO fun to read her version of your TR after you get home. It could be a homework assignment for English composition, even though English isn't her favorite subject. ;)

I'm both anxious and dreading the call from the mechanic, lol. Poor jeepie has about 182,000 miles on him though, and I haven't had to have any major repairs in the last year and a half, so we'll see. She picked very cool books, but she's in for a surprise too... popcorn::

Thanks, Jennifer! I know..I am so dreading unpacking when we get home, we're hanging at my Gram's now (about 1/2 mile from the mechanic, so she took a few min from work to bring us to her place), and she'll take us home once she gets off work and we get Piper's needle change done. We're very excited about the autograph books, and it was great timing!

I went to sign Piper up for a user name last night, and being the intelligent woman that I am put her real birth year..so they wanted a fax!! or letter with my signature giving permission. I realize it's a safety thing, and respect that, but I really wasn't looking to do all that, lol. I may try again. :rolleyes1 I was already considering let her do her own TR when we get back since she's enjoying this so much. Or a she said/she said on my report since that would make it easier to keep up with. Alternate updates sort of thing.

:cool1: for unpacking! I hate packing for those pseudo-emergencies, but I hate staying in the hospital even more! Great Big Give photos! Piper is such an adorable young lady, and sounds as though she is perfectly gracious. Thanks for sharing!

Im so glad to hear no hospital stay:cool1: Oh yes unpacking ug. I used to say all I had to do to avoid an admission with Ty was to pack:rotfl2: Worked everytime lol.

Piper, it is so fun to see posts from you here! You look beautiful in your Cinderella gown! I'm happy to see you didn't have to stay in the hospital.

Amanda, I'm sorry you had car trouble - here's PD that it doesn't cost much. I hope Piper continues to improve, and that you won't have to go to club med.:grouphug:

So sorry about the jeep:sad2: Hope it is not to much to fix. Great BG stuff so far!! Yay for no hospital!

I think she should be Amanda's daughter

Thank you ! I am very happy we are home and not in the hospital! I've left the games bad and clothes packed, just in case..but hopefully they'll be able to be unpacked after she sees the Dr!

Thank you! I seriously debated not packing since she's been improving steadily, but figured if I didn't, she'd be admitted for sure!

Piper will respond later under her own account..doesn't the mail run quickly? ;)

 Thank you, Tammie! I haven't heard from the mechanic yet, but he had 3-4 other cars there, so it may be a day or so. Back to being homebound..which def beats being room-bound in the hospital!

So sorry about the jeep:sad2: Hope it is not to much to fix. Great BG stuff so far!! Yay for no hospital!

Thank you, Mary!

I think she should be Amanda's daughter

She is MommysPiper ;) She'll be making her own appearance later :goodvibes

Oh my gosh!!! I just love everything Piper got from the Big Give :goodvibes That smile of hers in the gown just says it all. You can really tell how grateful she is and that she truly appreciates everything.
Hoping the Jeep issue isn't anything big....the style Jeep you have lasts forever (I sell cars ;)) so hopefully it's just an O2 sensor or something stupid. :)
I can't tell you how excited I am for your trip! I think I am more excited for yours than I am for mine!! :yay:

Tracy
