Piper's Practically Perfect PTR..Wish Trip! 3/2-8...Upd Pg 126- TR Link!! Hooray!

Okay, so I had left the room earlier to do something, came back, and this is what I saw...

To put up our outdoor lights, I take out the lightbulb and put a lil socket insert thingy into it so I can plug them into the light fixture..I put the bulb in a basket by the door so I would remember where it was. Apparently she saw it in there and had an idea..lol. Which actually makes the lightbulb even more appropriate. The connections she makes and her sense of humor amaze me sometimes. :lovestruc So, knowing someone who posts here often has an affinity for tongue sticking out pictures..I made her stick out her tongue before I took the pic. She thought it was hilarious that someone would purposely pose that way to take funny pics. So there you go Jordan...

This bulb's for you! :lmao:

That Piper, is just too cute! :cutie:

Piper has me cracking up tonight ! Love the lightbulb pic and her bathroom antics are way too funny. My niece used to take a whiteboard in with her hahaha. Continued prayers for a bug free Christmas :)

Thank you :) Tonight the laugh happened at Grams...she had to use the bathroom before we left..she always takes forever..the kid will already read in there! Anyway..I asked if she was done so we could leave and she pops out with "I think I have overactive bladder" :lmao: Considering we don't do a lot of tv, that one had to have come from either Reader's Digest or the newpaper. I thought I was going to leak I was laughing so hard!
:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

She may have learned the reading in the bathroom from her dad..you know we guys..

Loved the pix of Piper and the Jordan pose plus a light bulb !!!!Also adding my marching orders to the "Bugs" !!

You never know what is going to pop out of her mouth..we love it! Thank you for the continued prayers..

Ermm..unfortunately I know exactly where the bathroom reading comes from.. :rolleyes1: The difference is, when I come out I do NOT have seat marks on my bottom for 45 min afterwards! :lmao:

There are certain sounds in life that are unmistakable..children's laughter, rain on a tin roof, a train going by, regurgitation... I'm in the kitchen when I hear Piper losing her dinner..I hurriedly dry my hands and rush into the living room to find that the sweetie had actually gotten the bowl we use during her treatments. I rub her back, try to generally keep her calm. She finishes, we get her cleaned up..and I see my jacket. *laughing* Generally I try to put it away as soon as I take it off, but I had groceries to put away when we got home this evening, so I had put it over the back of my chair. Apparently before she could get to the bowl, my jacket was the closest thing. I'm actually thankful..we have a sisal rug, and though it's very dust free, it holds odors very well. In the summer I just take it out into the driveway and hose it down (it's indoor-outdoor) but this time of year that isn't an option. So tonight I'm thankful for good aim! She's also running a fever again, I can't wait for the antibiotics to kick in.

Productivity Report: I've been working on the surprise package, just finished cutting out 67!! countdown chain links I had printed off the creative section of the board. They're black and white (no color printer, and our lib charges .25/each for color copies..)they came out very cute. Now I'm trying to work up the courage to go and tape them all together. So the ingredients in the package are:

1. Countdown chain from Christmas day to the day we leave.
2. Christmas themed stuffed Mickey
3. Retro Minnie & Mickey kissing snowglobe (plays We wish you a merry Christmas)
4. Guide to WDW For Kids by Kids.
5. Kingdom Keeper books 1 & 2
6. Pack of Disney themed pencils
7. Letter from Mickey attached to Alice themed.."We have some very important dates for you" pamphlet cover!

I have Tink wrapping paper, and also spent about 20 minutes tonight peeling Mickey heads from MHPC's. I'm going to attach them to the wrapping paper of the big box. I'm wrapping each item inside the box, with the letter on the very bottom for her to open. Only 3 more sleeps until she finds out!!!!

Something totally random....we know the neighbors that live kitty-corner to us somewhat well, enough to say hello in passing, have short conversations, etc. They know about Piper's CF and everything. So, I hear a knock on my door tonight and go to answer it, and it's Nancy, one of the neighbors. She had brought a huge tin of baked goods she had made, then hands me this huge bag, saying "this is for Piper, it's just a few small things." They're an older couple, and she had just put the things in the bag and stuffed some tissue paper on top. Once Piper was in bed, I couldn't resist peeking. Here is the random part..in the box was a Princess themed photo tin with room for a photo on the lid... an Ariel figurine music box that plays 3 Christmas songs while Ariel dances in a circle, and a microfiber Disney blanket. Tom and Nancy have no idea that Piper has been granted a wish, or that her wish was to go to WDW. It made me very misty, not just their kindness..but that they had chosen things that were absolutely perfect without even knowing it. Sheesh, I'm about to cry now just telling you guys about it. Needless to say, they will be getting a very nice thank you note, including the fact that Piper is getting ready to go to WDW on a wish trip and how wonderful and appropriate their gifts were. Okay, going to spend about ten more mins on here now and then start taping!

Amanda, you've posted lots of great moments since yesterday! I'm glad you're doing more meds - I hope Piper tolerates them better and that she gets healthy quickly! I'm happy she got to make the snow angel. A little fresh air is probably good, since she didn't get chilled. Love the "lightbulb moment!" :thumbsup2 what a funny girl!

I'm sorry she was feeling sick, yikes about your jacket!

How sweet of your neighbors to be so kind and so timely! I can't wait to read about the surprise! I probably won't see it until after New Year's, but it will be fun to catch up!

:santa::santa::santa::santa:Merry Christmas Amanda and Piper!:santa::santa::santa::santa:

How completely Providential, and wonderful!!

It's just great how things like that work out!!

Thanks for sharing these sweet moments with us; believe it or not, we even enjoy hearing about those not-so-sweet things, so we can pray with a better idea of how to be specific.

:goodvibes thanks for sharing that story! That is one of the things I love about christmas time.

:goodvibes I love seeing the Big Man in action...He's always sending us little kisses, like your neighbors giving Piper those gifts. They didn't know, but He knew. He's so good to us. :cloud9:

I hate to hear that she became sick, tell her to hang in there and know that she has a slew of people praying with anticipation of good news to come! ;)

Poor Piper, I hope she's feeling better and those antibiotics start to work soon.
That was the sweetest thing your neighbors did and so amazing the gift was just Perfect! Cant wait to hear how Piper reacts to the surprise. Remember those pics!

Thank you all :grouphug: She was up again in the middle of the night riding the "vomit comet" so we just rolled out of bed. I keep reminding myself that she's only had a few doses and that there are lots of people thinking positive thoughts and praying for us. It truly helps knowing that. I got the countdown chain done last night, and tonight will wrap everything once she's in bed. I'll be taking pics and videotaping Christmas morning so I can post it when we're done. I'll be on and off the next few days.

Merry Christmas Tammie, and everyone else I may not "read" between now and then!! :santa: :santa:

What sweet neighbors you have! I can't wait to see Piper's face when she sees the surprise box on Christmas.

Your first update made me laugh:

And your second one made me cry! Piper's gift is awesome, I love how you have put it together, she is gonna flip! I am bummed I will have to wait to hear her reaction until I get back from vacation....but then again, I'm headed to WDW, so I'm not that bummed. :rotfl: I WILL be thinking about her on Christmas Day though and can't wait to read all about it!!!

How AWESOME about the gift from your neighbors downstairs! I already had the tears in my eyes just imagining Piper opening your gift, and this sent me over the edge. Love it, life is good! :thumbsup2
