No. If you do not book on board,
DCL would typically send you an offer to book with a 10% discount, however I've been told it has restriction of dates sometimes and/or you cannot move it. Not sure if you do get the On board credit.
Booking on board, allows you to book up to two cabins for the same cruise at 10% off, requires only a 10% deposit, and you get a $100 or $200 on board credit (depending on the length of the cruise).
Discounts are available, but as follow:
* Prices are the lowest when rates are announced. As staterooms sell, prices go up
* There are last minute offers but you cannot select the stateroom and only available for parties up to 4. If you book multiple staterooms, you could end up in different ends of the ship and different decks. These are IGT/OGT/VGT rates
* There are offers for Military and FL residents
* There's been offers this past Jan-March for Kids Sail Free but only for sailings out of TX or Miami.
* Booking and paying in full with a Disney Visa Rewards can get you a $50 on board credit
* Using a
travel agent to book can get you on board credits depending on the cost of the cruise (and travel agent)
Note that most offers come out after the pay-in-full date which is 75 days prior to sailing.
DCL is somewhat of a different operation than WDW. Heck, they even have an 800 number!
