Pinocchio Village Haus

Figaro Fries.......... YUM!

I made DH share these with me on our last trip. I had read so many post on the boards about how good they are. Well, I must say we were not disappointed. We enjoyed every last one!:cool1: :thumbsup2 :cool1: :thumbsup2

I guess we will need to give PVH another chance. We only ate here once and the restaurant was really dirty--lots of unclean tables and food on the floor. I think it might have been after a lunch rush and I guess the CMs hadn't had time to clean up but I didn't see anyone cleaning the tables or addressing the problem the whole time we were there. Maybe they were short-handed that day? We ate quickly and got out. The food was okay, we just had burgers and fries, but we haven't really wanted to go back. But any restaurant can have an off day.

Used to love it when they served burgers. Haven't been back since they changed. New menu doesn't interest me.

There are some cute seats right by IASW, which are fun, but the main dining room tends to be a little loud. If you want someplace a little more quiet with great views, go upstairs and there are a few balcony seats outside looking over Fantasyland. Not a lot of people, quiet, and lovely when the weather is nice.

Are there restrooms upstairs, or only down? I haven't eaten at PVH in many years.

We ate there last year. We just had the pizza and milkshakes and we enjoyed them . I will have to try one of the other suggestions from this post. We ate downstairs and it was very loud. I didn't even know there was an upstaris. That would be so cool to sit overlooking IASW. Are there alot of tables for this? Does it get to be a problem with people trying to snag those "good tables" with the view??

Pinocchio Village Haus is a tradition in my family. I have to drag them there. To me, it's purely Disney. The murals on the wall from the movie and the lookout over It's A Small World is just so Disney. It's my favorite place!

We quite eating there when they quit serving the hamburgers (had a decent topping bar)...my guys want burgers or chicken @ lunch...period.

Always wanted to try the figaro fries though - are they available on the DP as a CS?

I had the panini last time I was there. It was really good actually and got me thinking if I could replicate it at home. Dessert was a chocolate covered rice crispy mickey treat which I threw in my bag and ate later. :thumbsup2

We have never tried the Figaro Fries but we're sure going to on our upcoming trip!! I hope they count as a snack on the DP since they are under $4.00. Sounds like a nice use of a snack credit to me!!!:thumbsup2

Last year we went right when the restaurant opened and were able to sit by the window overlooking Small World. The kids loved waving to the riders below. Most of them had a sense of humor and smiled or "shot" back! ;) Oh yeah, the food was good too. :goodvibes
We think the exact same :thumbsup2 IT A GOOD CHOICE

Yes they do count as a SC ...planning on getting some next week

Another big vote for PVH :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Wonderful change from burger/hot dog traditional theme park fare.

I'm actually really bummed we didn't get to go last week, but the folks we were with had small kids, and they said the kids' options were bad, basically mac & cheese or a PBJ for an entree with fruit as a side. Our friends said those things might be fine as a side or snack, but there was nothing really substantial for kids as a balanced "meal." They were surprised, with PVH's Italian theme, they didn't offer a kids' pizza of some sort.

Our friends and kids were, however, pleased with the kids' menu at Columbia Harbor House, so we ended up there.

Bummer. I miss those Figero fries!!! They're really easy to make at home, tho :)

I thought the antipasto salad was only OK.

It improves considerably if you ask for the dressing on the side. For some reason they want to ladle an ocean of Italian dressing onto the antipasto.

My DS shot at the people riding by with a toy pistol. Most of them had a sense of humor and smiled or "shot" back! ;) Oh yeah, the food was good too. :goodvibes

Do remember what time it opened? I would like to try that this year. Thanks

but to be honest I don't even remember what we had. It was all ok.. but I was frustrated because it was the only place that wouldn't substitute something else for the jello. Yuck!
