Pin sent to my email w/my moms name????

I have been told that you can use it if she is traveling with you or lives in your household.

If she doesn't live in your household, then you might not be able to. However, I have read inconsistent stories about pins in other's names so I would call and see what they say.

MY SIL had one years ago (before we were DVC) and when I called, they let me book with it, even though she wasn't coming that time.

Well, I found out the next day that the CM wasn't supposed to do it, but they let me keep the discount. I ended up buying DVC prior to that trip and canceled but CM's have been known to do it.

I would try to use it.. it may be in your mom's name, but they will ask you when you call what the address is.. I think in their system it is all tied together, name, address, e-mail and pin number.. I bet you will b able to do it.. Congrats by the way.. I got the same pin code too..

Let us know if you are able to use it. This has happened to me several times, mom's pin at my E-mail address (they have traveled with us in the past) and I have called twice and NOT been able to use it. If you are able to, it might be worth another call to see what a different CM will say.

We called around February or March of last year to check and see if we had any pins. There was the free dining pin but it was in my Dad or brother's name (they are both a David LOL) but had our address. We had a trip booked for that May so we asked if we could apply it. The CM said yes because when she looked it up on her computer, the address was ours even though the name wasn't.

So then we asked if it could be applied to my parents trip (they were also going and we were actually surprising them by going as well) but the CM couldn't do that since the address wasn't theirs. It didn't seem to matter whose name was attached to the pin.

Just a few months ago, we again received a pin but through the mail. It was sent tour address but still had my Dad's name on it. LOL It was just the same as the Free Dining promo already announced and my parents also got the same postcard at their house.

Actually you should have been able to apply it to your parents package as well because you are allowed to book up to 3 rooms with one pin code. I did this in the past. We did think of that after but because we were totally surprising them down at Disney, we didn't want them to find out ahead of time. They were taking our oldest DD and had no idea of our plans until we ambushed them at T-Rex on arrival day. LOL So having everyone else on our ressie wouldn't have worked with the surprise.

I wish that we could have just given them the code and they could have rebooked with it all on their own...with no attachment to or knowledge of our reservation at all. They did use the Gift Card Promo deal instead though so they did have some savings. Plus the look on their faces (and the sheer happiness on our youngest DD AKA my fellow huge WDW fan's face when she found out that she got to go to Disney like her big sister) was well worth it!!

I had a pin come to my email address that was in someone else's name. (my daughter's friend) I called and told the CM the situation, they verified that is was the email address I had on file with my account and they let me use it.
