PIN Saved me $130? Please help

Finally received a PIN via email, 1st ever...

Called today to make reservation for December, had Disney website up to see how much I would be saving...ended up with 5 nights at Poly, Quick service meal for family of 5 , Park Hoper tix and with PIN was only $130 less than just booking without!!

CM said it seemd their were 2 PINS associated with my account, but could not tell why such a small discount...She said she was really surprised too

CM did say I should watch my email and that there would be some other offer coming soon (?general public offer?)

I assume I need to call tomorrow and get a different CM with a different computer and hopefully get a different answer...

Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated...

What does the PIN offer in your e-mail say that it is for? I haven't gotten one for a while and haven't been able to use one yet, so I don't remember, but don't they say something in the e-mail about what the offer is for (% off, kids play/dine free, etc.). Then you could figure out if the quoted amount is really right or not.

What was your pin offer and exact dates? I guess it could vary on season and if your arrival dates (or any dates) were excluded because of black-out. I'll admit though that seems really low. We're staying at YC/CL-lagoon and saved $2K on the room only with the 40% off pin.

ETA: We were originally booked at AKL/CL through AAA, again during value season 11/28-12/6. Their savings was $550 I think, maybe a little more?

Email came with deal for value resorts, then further down said

"Ask about great rates for other Disney Resorts
and for stays 11/28/10-12/24/10 when you call!"

I picked first week of December, and CM never said there were any black out dates...

My 40% off deluxe pin saved us @$1,950.00 during regular season. Then we added tickets and insurance. The pin usually is a substanial savings on room only (depending on the %).

I know the PINs apply to the rooms only, but should that make a difference?

Can you just reserve then without insurance? They haven't released the winter specials - and chances are those will be out before the summer ends. Even a moderate sale will beat the $130, if not - you can always transfer your ressie to AAA and save quite a bit more than that if you're staying at Poly. But regardless - I would just call and speak with a different CM right now, and get more detail on the two pins associated with your name. I would also inquire about any other undisclosed specials they might have. I was once offered a 'book now' discount, but it wasn't the room type we wanted - nor did it fit with our travel dates - but you never know.

It may. I start with booking the room only with the discount. They always ask if you want tickets, etc. I say sure. It creates a package in a round about way but you get the room only discount. I always book through the WDTC.
