Hi all! The last time we were down at WDW was in 2003. Back then the big thing was pin collecting. My DD's were very into this. My question is do they still have those pin collecting stands? Is this still a popular thing? Should they bring their pin collections? Thanks in advance.

Oh Yes! We are going in a month and I just bought a "lot" of 100 pins on ebay for about $2.00 a pin. Now my sons can exchange these pins with castmembers. If you do get pins on ebay make sure they have the disney trademark symbol, no spanish and no sedesma.

Definitely have them bring their pins!!! I would start with a visit to Scoop's Pin Talk - held at Exposition Hall at 1:00 3 or 4 days a week. You can check with guest services or a couple online sites for which days, but it is usually Sun. thru Wed. The schedule will be changing in March. They will have fun learning about trading etiquette, how pins are made and he usually plays some pin trading games for everyone to get some new pins.

Cast Lanyard pins are the new thing since your visit. Any CM with a gold lanyard has to trade you for up to 2 pins. Your trade must be a disney pin, can not have a name on it and the CM can not already have it on their lanyard. The green lanyards are for kids 3-12 to trade only.

Have fun and trade away!!!! :tink:

My DD loves pin trading! She's not even interested in buying new ones, she just likes constantly trading. She has 1 from each park and the others are always rotating.

yes I bought 25 disney ones on ebay for about $2 each

let the trading begin!

my son woud be fine doing it our entire vacation! lol

Does anyone know when disneyshopping.com will have its next pin clearance? Thanks!
