How exactly do the Pin codes work?

I just got a pin code to my e-mail address addressed to my Brother in law?!?!

Can I use it?

Why is it addressed to my BIL. My BIL has his own accounts with Disney, and has APs and has booked many a trip on his own. I booked one trip last year for all of us because we were trying to get the Disney Visa discounts. Grrrr.
