Pin Backs

I have a question. I'm a total newbie to pin trading. I'm going to WDW on Saturday (yay!) and have been reading the DIS boards, and saw posts about pin trading. I tried to resist, but being a collector (in general), I knew that resitance was futile, and now I've picked up some pins off of DA, Disney Deals, and ebay, for both keeping and trading. I just got some pins for trading from ebay yesterday, and that's what my question is about. Some had gold pin backs (that you squeeze), some had Mickey heads, and some were like the Mickey heads (rubber), only plain. Will the CM trade with you no matter what the pin back is like? I'm sure that some of these aren't the original backs, so I just wanted to make sure that I'd be ok.

Actually they may or may not be the original pin backs. Disney started with the metal; went to the regular rubber; then ended up with the Mickey shaped rubber back.

CM's will trade no matter what the pin back is however if their pin has a rubber back will tell you to retain your metal back and they will keep their rubber pin back.

Thanks for the response! It's good to know that I'll be able to trade my pins with no problem. I have about 20 to trade, so I'll have to be on the lookout for good pins. I'm so excited about this trip!

In my experience, the CM will let you have which type of back you prefer. I always keep the rubber ones. They tend to hold on your lanyard better.
