I have been looking for a way to "dress-up" the pillowcases before we get the characters to sign them. Any resources for Disney ribbon or ideas to share???
You can always print some Disney clip art onto iron-on tranfers, then add them to the pillowcase, makes a nice Disney touch to the pillowcase. Check this site out for some clip art: http://www.disneysites.com/
I made my own for our 2003 cruise because I wanted to make travel pillow size. I added ribbon by using the decorative stitches on my sewing machine, just around the edge.
Guest services LOVED them and the kids loved them even more -- they still sleep with them.
I found a little kiosk (sp?) at one of our local malls that trasfered pictures onto t-shirts, ties, coffee mugs, etc. I dressed my daughter (then 4) up in one of her princess outfits & had them take the picture. They then transfered the pictures onto a pillow case with her name on it. It turned out really cute!
I got mine on spools at JoAnn's Fabrics . . . princesses for the girls and Mickey's for the boys. Come to think of it, they had embroidered iron-on patches too that would work well.
I am making the transfer myself using the above listed website as well as the scan from the DCL book. Mine is for a boy(4) and did not want any trim on it.
