Pictures with Captain Mickey

Packing for our first cruise that leaves in 2 days!! When will be our best shot of getting pictures with Mickey and Minnie in their nautical attire? Kiddos have certain outfits to wear when we see Captain Mickey, and I'm trying to plan our days.

In the Navigator each day it lists when/where the characters are available. I it doesn't, however, specify "Captain" Mickey.

You can often find Captain Mickey in the port terminal on embarkation day. He rotates with other characters though. In my experience, he is in his captain's outfit when he meets onboard on embarkation day. The first meet and greet time is shortly after the Sail Away party.

I think that Capt Mickey is out in the terminal along with the rest in Marine style.clothes. I can't swear to it. You could ask at gs when you board. They can find out also.

We ran into him one evening in his captain's outfit. Not looking for him. Apparently no one else was as we were the first in line! LOL

In my experience, Mickey is usually in his captain outfit on embarkation day, and at the till we meet again show on the last night.

The characters rotate every 20-30 minutes in the terminal. And they are usually by themselves, so if you want to get pictures of all of them, it might take 2 hours as you get thru the first, then get back in line again and again........

Just be warned though, if you're planning on seeing him in the terminal:
On the ship they're (the majority of the time) 'navigated' for meet and greets, meaning, as long as you're in line before they close it, you're guaranteed to see that character.
In the terminal it's a well-known surprise that they appear, which can mean that you line up for Mickey, but, maybe even just before you get there, Mickey gets called back onboard to do some captain-y stuff and is replaced by Minnie...

Do they not always dress in their captain cruise gear on board I have never seen a character not dressed up. Only exception would be when they were in pirate gear pirate night and swim suits on CC and the princesses are normal

No. Each day they are themed differently. And it's also cruise specific. On 7 day cruises on formal night they are in tuxes and gowns. Sea days it's cruise casual so to speak.

I think I read somewhere before our last 7 night that he met as Capt Mickey the Semi Formal night on our cruise and it ended up being correct. Don't know if we got lucky or not.

To be honest Im not sure. Its possible you got lucky, but typically they are themed to the day. It could also vary from ship to ship. It could also be different between formal and semi formal also.

The formal night usually coincides with the Cpt's Recpetion which usually has Mickey in his black tie doesn't it?
