I put about 130 pictures out of around 600 on Photobucket that I took up in the mountains around Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and Cades Cove for those who would like to take a memory walk in the mountains.

Awesome- thanks so much for sharing those! We are headed up there in about 10 days. I sure hope we see some bears- we saw a few two years ago but none at all last summer.

we're supposed to go to the BRparkway sometime before Oct so nice to get in the mood ...but since we are camping in a tent i am hoping for no bears really we have only seen them once in cades cove from a bunch of trips..and got growled at once in park campground that is near townsend( can't think of the name)when i opened the van door after dark to get a pop bottle i forgot to take in usually we stay at Julian price lake and don't see anything scarier than lots of tourists ( oh and one trip that bomber guy they caught a few yrs back they had seen in the area so they stopped every car and searching it...made me sleep really well that night since i always figure an ax murder is outside my tent anyway, that time joined by a crazed bomber
