Here's a few pictures of our E-Ride night/DIS Meet of August 13. Our group consisted of Fantasia Girl/Christine and her DH Jeff, Debi, Banzai/Brad, TennVolTony, Myself, my DS Martin, and a couple of suprise attendees I didn't know were at WDW: ChrisC, his DD Melanie and Disneymad/Penney :) Also expected but we never saw them, TuffCookie and Bobcat :( We waited around for quite a bit hoping to see them, perhaps they cancelled due to the incredible thunderstorm we had earlier that evening :confused:

I arrived early at the MK, about 6-ish, with DS Martin...he was very excited, this was to be his very first E-ride night. I wondered all the while if he would be able to hang in there with us and last till 1am....he ended up doing very well :)
Here at the front entrance, waiting for TVT to arrive, it took a loooong time to get this shot with (almost) noone standing in front if the train station.

Here is the group, gathered in front of POC about to begin E-night fun. L to R are: banzai/Brad, ChrisC, Debi, Fantasia Girl/Christine, her DH Jeff, my DS Martin, TennVolTony, ChrisC'S DD Melanie and DisneyMad/Penny. (side note, we stood there so long, waiting for others to possibly show, the COP entryway CM came by several times to eyeball us and check out just what in the heck we were doing lurking in the entryway all that time :rolleyes: :p )

Time to begin, we hopped on POC before it closed for the night. Seated in the front of the POC boat, my obnoxious self just had to take a few pictures over my shoulder of the others :p Behind me were Penny, Melanie and ChrisC

Another shot reveals the rest of our party, Brad, Debi, Christine, Jeff and TVT

Now on board Splash Mountain, Debi and Brad get the front seat :)

Christine and Jeff are behind us

<IMG SRC=http://d724988.u21.worldzonepro.com/images/WDWjuly02/dcp_1520a.jpg>

Floating along, listening to the music, I love this part of the ride :)

One of my very favorite characters inside Splash Mountain, the little porcupine playing the turtle's shell as a drum

An obligatory ride around the TTA, don't ask me why but 6 of us hopped into the same car :p Here are Jeff and Brad

<IMG SRC=http://d724988.u21.worldzonepro.com/images/WDWjuly02/dcp_1526a.jpg>

Moving camera slightly to left, Christine and Jeff

<IMG SRC=http://d724988.u21.worldzonepro.com/images/WDWjuly02/dcp_1527a.jpg>

Debi says "OMG, this camera is WAY too close but I'll be nice and grin anyway", while Martin contemplates WHY is he crammed into this car with all these goofy grownups

<IMG SRC=http://d724988.u21.worldzonepro.com/images/WDWjuly02/dcp_1528a.jpg>

Another shot of Jeff and Brad...a sneak attack of flash photo in the complete darkness :p

We continued enjoying e-night to the best of our abilities, and stayed till the end. We did notice it was tougher to enjoy this particular time (as was also the previous week when I did an e-night), problems with lines backing up and such, even though it was 'claimed' the night was not anywhere near a sellout :confused: We all had a great time though, in spite of the "techinal" difficulties.
The next day I was invited by Debi to join her at the Canada Pavilion to see Off Kilter.....

The boys and I take a ride over to EPCOT via the Friendship, finally securing the back seat outdoors for the first time this trip

<IMG SRC=http://d724988.u21.worldzonepro.com/images/WDWjuly02/dcp_1532a.jpg>

Docking at the Yacht Club to pick up passengers, here's the lighthouse (aka: The Big Dipper, dubbed as such by DS Ryan when he was 2 :p ) ...

<IMG SRC=http://d724988.u21.worldzonepro.com/images/WDWjuly02/dcp_1533a.jpg>

...and the boat swings around, giving us a view of the big ship/slide

<IMG SRC=http://d724988.u21.worldzonepro.com/images/WDWjuly02/dcp_1534a.jpg>

At this point we met up with Debi JUST as a storm rolled in and cancelled the show :( Not to be deterred, we walked to shelter, underneath the awning of the Gateway Gifts store and passed the time with idle conversation while awaiting the next show. Interjecting here, I was approached at this time by two women asking if I was from Stamford! I looked up and recognized they were two of the former CM's from the Stamford Disney Store, which had closed about two years ago!! Still asking myself if it's a GOOD thing or a BAD thing that I am apparently so recognizable to people, :rolleyes: LMBO!! Anyway, rain passed, we head back to the Canada pavilion, and Debi sets up her Camcorder......

<IMG SRC=http://d724988.u21.worldzonepro.com/images/WDWjuly02/dcp_1535a.jpg>

....and the show begins.....

<IMG SRC=http://d724988.u21.worldzonepro.com/images/WDWjuly02/dcp_1536a.jpg>

I must say, you have NOT experienced OK in full if you have not attended with a TRUE FAN! Thanks again, Debi, your little commentary and hints and tips really made the show all that much more enjoyable :)

<IMG SRC=http://d724988.u21.worldzonepro.com/images/WDWjuly02/dcp_1537a.jpg>

High energy, beaming personalities, such characters :) .....

<IMG SRC=http://d724988.u21.worldzonepro.com/images/WDWjuly02/dcp_1538a.jpg>

These guys are great, and put on a very entertaining show

<IMG SRC=http://d724988.u21.worldzonepro.com/images/WDWjuly02/dcp_1539a.jpg>

Over my shoulder, a spectator really gets into the music.....performing a show all his own, he had some fantastic moves! I really wish I had captured more on film, as he was flying through the air!!

<IMG SRC=http://d724988.u21.worldzonepro.com/images/WDWjuly02/dcp_1540a.jpg>

a couple more shots....
<IMG SRC=http://d724988.u21.worldzonepro.com/images/WDWjuly02/dcp_1541a.jpg>

<IMG SRC=http://d724988.u21.worldzonepro.com/images/WDWjuly02/dcp_1542a.jpg>

...then after the show we are allowed up onstage to pose with the band members :)

<IMG SRC=http://d724988.u21.worldzonepro.com/images/WDWjuly02/dcp_1543a.jpg>

Afterwards, we strolled to Future World to purchase my Passholder Pin and T-Shirt...then took a ride on Spaceship Earth. We exited the ride to find it was POURING again!! :earseek: and being sans-ponchos this day, we waited it out at the exit. When the rain finally passed, it was time for Debi to head back for yet another viewing of Off Kilter, and for me to take the boys back to the room for a rest. Choosing to walk back this time as the sun was shining brightly, I noticed at about halfway that the clouds were back and headed our direction on our heels!! I paused long enough to take a few photos, as it is awesome to see....

<IMG SRC=http://d724988.u21.worldzonepro.com/images/WDWjuly02/dcp_1551a.jpg>

Now approaching the Dolphin, the storm is almost there as well....

<IMG SRC=http://d724988.u21.worldzonepro.com/images/WDWjuly02/dcp_1555a.jpg>

a last look behind us as the bridge, YIKES!!

<IMG SRC=http://d724988.u21.worldzonepro.com/images/WDWjuly02/dcp_1557a.jpg>

Safe inside, on our way to the 9th floor.....Whew!! Just in time, by the time we entered the room it was already coming down in buckets!!

<IMG SRC=http://d724988.u21.worldzonepro.com/images/WDWjuly02/dcp_1562a.jpg>

lastly, baths and a nap......and revving up energy for the evening's adventures....

<IMG SRC=http://d724988.u21.worldzonepro.com/images/WDWjuly02/dcp_1563a.jpg>

storms in the sky are just gorgeous arent' they....and the kids are growing up so fast....thanks a million for sharing it with us.....I hope to be able to see you sometime...maybe another chance meeting in an elevator

Thanks Donna for the photos. It's nice to put faces with names. I have PM'ed Fantasia Girl before, but have not yet had the opportunity to meet her and her DH in person. It looks like you all had a great time despite the storms. Looks like you wore out Thing 1 and Thing 2 pretty good.

Great pictures, Donna!

Now, I have to ask you, when did Ryan get so big?

Thanks so much, Donna, for letting up tour WDW with you guys. Neat!! Love seeing new faces here, very nice. Looks like you guys were having a ball. I so enjoy doing the parks with other DIS'ers. :) Those storm shots are just great!!!! Very pretty indeed. Thanks again, Donna. :earsgirl:

Debi likes Off Kilter? Color me surprised ;) ;)

You take the best photos, Donna. I love your photo posts :)

Thanks for sharing.

I love the nap picture! TOO CUTE!

Love the pics and narration! Made me feel like I was there! Thanks for sharing!:D

Great photos, Donna! She failed to mention, though, that Randy (the guitarist) was slowly leaning against me (he has that kind of personality where he loves to do that kind of thing), and left me with a bruise a little north of the border. :) That rascal was actually proud of that fact! :rolleyes:

Donna, those are some fantastic pictures!!! The two shots of the lighthouse with the storm coming in are just breathtaking!! Thanks so much for these :)

I love your pictures! I always like the look of those approaching thunderstorm skies. It's the rain part that I hate!:D Thanks for posting. Your boys are so cute.:smooth:

Great pictures! Do you mind if I steal one of the pictures of the oncoming storms for insertion into my sig? It's pretty dang cool.

Why, of course, help yourself, Jeff :) Thanks for asking :)
