Oct 10 weekend - almost no availability

I'm a bit surprised to see the lack of resort availability for Oct 10 weekend. I guess the MNSSHP + Food and Wine make it a busy weekend. Only 4 resorts came up with availability.

Columbus Day is on the 13th and that week is typically very busy at WDW. Many schools and colleges get off for fall break that week as well.

It’s been a crazy busy week for some time. The holiday weekend makes a big difference.

That weekend seems like a good contender for peak Fall Break so not surprised you’re too late. I’d grab something and keep checking to try to adjust to what you want closer in.

Make sure you’re looking at rack rate & not on a discount. I just looked…October 10-12 at rack rate, 21 resorts came up, including POFQ, POR, CS, AS Sports & Movies.

Of course there aren’t many discounted rooms left for that weekend. It’s only 7 weeks away, people have been booking those for months.

That is prime time for fall break in my state. I know way more people who go over fall break now than any other time of year.

Kids are off school in some districts. I have a reservation avail for oct 7-10 and a lot of people are interested in the 8-10th bc their kids have those 2 days off.

It's prime Fall Break season, plus Indigenous People Day on Oct 13th. It has been most of Atlanta metro area fall breaks for many years (multiple school districts, more than half a million kids). In addition, both of my kids in big state colleges outside of Georgia also have Oct 10-14 off. We always head to the Orlando area around that time. It's been busy for many years - busier than July.

Same here for our school district. Schools are out from October 3rd through October 10th.
