Picture of the Day - Chatter Thread

i was going to ask about that light post. thanks for the instructions.. we4mickey if your out there we have a project weekend coming up :woohoo:

Our dog Josey Wales keeping guard at Fort Wilderness. And yes she's a girl, and my wife and mom dress her up as one, but I still pretend she's a boy (hence the name...lol). I have no idea why, I just do. She's very protective, that's for sure!

This was last Thanksgiving, 2006, and was her 3rd trip to the Fort. She likes to chase the bunny rabbits ;) Site 842, Jack Rabbit Run. We had a pair of rabbits that would keep Josey up all night...lol.

P.S. We were in the Contemporary when my mom and wife saw the Minnie Angel dog shirt, and they instantly bought it for her, even though I wanted to buy her a Mickey Mouse one. For some reason I think Josey enjoyed having wings for a while (I'm 6'2" and she can jump up to my shoulder)...lol :confused3

LOVE THIS!
Question for you....my family will be there in June, is it bad etiquette to take a walk throught the pet loop to see people dogs, and get a cuddle or slobberly dog kiss? We are a big dog loving family, but will have to leave ours at home. It would be a nice "fix" to meet other people's dogs while we are out and about at the Fort.
Of course we all know about dog safety, so we wouldn't just go up to any dog, but are people usually friendly when asked if we can say hello?

Well, I would have no problem with you coming up and saying hello to Josey! My advice is just to see how the dog responds to you. Our dog, Josey, is a bit "territorial", but she's more bark than bite. She's a very loving dog, and loves to be around people, she just needs to make sure that it's alright first.

If you walk up to a dog, and they're constantly showing their teeth to you, I would probably just move on. Actually, unless the owners are around, I would move on. If the owners are comfortable with you approaching the dog, approach with caution, and from there give the dog some loving!

It's just like walking down the street in your local neighborhood, approach dogs you feel "safe" approaching!

I think so too. I didn't see this particular fire burning, but this is the area they usually use isn't it?

I can barely stand to look at these pictures. Hubby and kids were saying... hey, who's in OUR pool, that's OUR golf cart, that's OUR trails end. No fair, we want to be there!! :guilty:

That looks like fun.......:drinking1

Due they charge extra for having more than 2 adults a night at a campsite?

Yes. We don't worry or care about stuff like that, and I think it's safe to say that most visitors don't either, be it campgrounds or resort rooms :)

Due you remember how much extra they charged you and your wife a night...

I would like to due this with my parents also....;)

I refer you to my above post....lol

P.S. If you REALLY care, it's 5 bucks extra a night per person.

when you pay the $10 a night fee due they give you a resort id like they due your parents so you can access bathrooms at nite, transportation, etc...

My parents would not be able to keep our pace...

Yes, they give you a resort id. But let's keep this thread on topic please, it's for posting pictures ;)

lol, I'm surprised you didn't see the "Jesus Loves You" in the sky. I swear they have a plane spraying that in the sky every weekend now (I've been seeing it for years), I wonder who pays for that....
