Picture of the Day - Chatter Thread

lol, I'm surprised you didn't see the "Jesus Loves You" in the sky. I swear they have a plane spraying that in the sky every weekend now (I've been seeing it for years), I wonder who pays for that....

Recently we were at Epcot when a lady looked up and saw this and flipped out!!!! :scared1: She seemed to think it was a miraculous manifestation of some sort until the others in her party calmed her down and explained.:rotfl2:

Colson39 - loved the pic of your dad! Nice tire cover. Seeing (well, 'reading') how much you still love WDW answers the question my husband & I pondered - last time out we wondered if when you live so close to the place if it loses its "special-ness"...obviously not. Also inspired me to celebrate a holiday there - when our last parent is gone that is our intention - turkey ala RV....mmmmmm AGAIN - great pic

Yea, my parents have a whole "Happy and Grumpy" thing going. Their front tag on the F250 says "Happy and Grumpy", every time they check in the first thing the security guard asks is "Ok, who's happy and who's grumpy"....lol

And thanks! I wish I was there, that picture says it all about the Fort to me, relaxingggggggggggggggg :)

The only time Disney ever lost it's "special-ness" to me was when I worked at Walt Disney World. When you're constantly backstage, and you see more negative sides of things, it kind of loses the magic.

Plus, seeing Cinderella waiting at the cast member bus stop, smoking a cigarette, kind of ruins things too...lol

Here's my "sunshine" - waiting for ME to pick us up to LEAVE FW at 3 AM this past Monday!!!! Yes, he is pretty much always this cheerful!

This is what it's all about! He is so cute! Can't wait for June and our next trip to Disney.

I know what you mean...After the Christmas Pagent at Church we left using the back entrance..where we passed "Mary" with a cigarette in her mouth...still in her "Mary" costume...with my then 9 year old son staring at her...and shouting to me.. "Hey, Mom...Mary's smokin'!"...Yes...the holiday's!

We were there Dec 17-23, our site was 1436, right by the campfire program.

We got the palm tree at Lowes, they have 2 different heights, this is the taller one.

Thanks we do not have Lowes up here so I guess they will have to keep looking and our Spencer gifts doesn't carry them either.

What about any home improvement stores? Home Depot? I think they carry them at Walmart too. But with all of these stores, it is only around the holiday season that they carry them. I wonder if maybe it is only something sold in SE US?

Could be as HD doesn't have them I called one of the stores in London that I know the GM at and he has never even seen them there. Wal Mart here only carries the big snoglobe s with frosty and friends in it and pinetree inflateables LOL. We will have to have another look when x mas rolls around again maybe we will get lucky and somone here will have them.

That's so funny...I just saw that palm tree today at a Brooks Pharmacy It was $49.00 :wizard: (New Hampshire)

Is that a Pinto or Vega Wagon? I love seeing those old fort pics. Not that I went there then but it sure is neat to see the old days. I guess the pics we take now will one day be "the old days".

That was my Aunt's Pinto and my Grandparents 28ft Champion MH. My family had a 24ft Champion(it seemed so big and roomy then),spent 2 to 3 weeks in the summer with the whole group(900 loop)every 4th of July.

ETA: Looked at the pic again, that was our MH, the Grandparents MH had one more window behind the door(extra dinnette).

We had friends that were in FW in 1984 or there abouts..and they swam in the water there also..nice to see those photos!:thumbsup2

The pinto!...later renamed the "fireball"....I remember that. My husband at one time had the Vega..before we were married..:sad2: (don't ask him..because he won't admit to it..but I've seen pictures!)

Making me sooo jealous. My son once found a turtle walking across the exercise trail....oh..wait I guess that would be a tortise?...What ever it was I tell you it was huge! Have a photo of him with it...he put it back into the grass area.

As far as I know playing in the sand is ok. The problem with the water is that, after so many years with drought conditions and so many more boats using the water it has become to "dirty"(polution, bacteria and other small organisms that can make you sick) for safe swiming on a regular basis. If your kids do play at the edge, keep it out of their mouths, eyes, ect, and bathe them as soon as they are done.

From what I've heard that there are oganisms in the water amoeba not sure on the spelling of that. I think you want to avoid them getting into your ears..or open parts of the body.:scared1: From what I understand this is an issue in Fla., with shallow lake waters. From what I've heard when there it is more of an issue during the warmer times of the year. Obviously they have water sking and parasailing (much as I enjoy water sking..with snakes and aligators in or near the waters..don't think I'd be doing that in Fla either..but that's just me) I guess it would be alright for the kids to play at the waters edge.
Let's face it, at one time many of us went to River Country that was connected to Bay Lake water. Of course..they have shut that down now..hmmm  Go to the pool.

Weather has been just gorgeous here just south of you guys in Delray Beach, my parents are currently staying in Orlando, they said it's been gorgeous there as well.

And here I thought that you had no chance of getting cold weather in Orlando in April. Have to say, it's made for a great Easter weekend, and you guys must be having a blast! I'm with the others, we're jealous!

Hope you enjoy the rest, keep posting pictures if you can!
