I "answer" to just about anything :rotfl: but my given name is Karolyn. "Goopy" is my precious doggies name :lovestruc hence "goopysolelady". :goodvibes :tink:

Thanks Karolyn; pretty spelling variation! Now your avatar makes sense; thanks for the explanation and I like your choice!

When I joined the DIS in 1999 I was not thinking about a creative name. Duh! Later when I asked if I could change my DIS name to something else they said I would lose my post counts number which was already over 5,000 or so so I decided to keep it as is.

:thumbsup2 Thanks...my name is rarely SPELLED correctly ...I've stopped trying at Starbucks :lmao:...whatever they write down on MY request is fine with me. :rotfl2: My Mom tells me she spelled it that way "just to be different"...so, I've followed that all my life..."I like to be different". :goodvibes Goopy (his registered name is Sammy) was SUPPOSE to be nicknamed GOOFY...but when DGD would call him it always came out GOOPY :rotfl:; we finally gave up on correcting her and changed his nickname to suit her.::yes:: My original choice for the DIS was already taken and after 3-4 tries at other names I thought...there CAN'T be another GOOPY out there! :rotfl2: And...in your case...I wouldn't have changed my name either! :D :tink:

Footbridge, Boothbay Harbor, Maine. The footbridge is a century old and connects the main part of town with the "East side." The grayish building the the left of center, is directly on the bridge. In the past it has been used for many things including an artist's studio/gallery and gift shop. Living quarters were also included. Today, it is a wholly residential cottage.

The Columbia at Fowler’s Harbor
May 18, 2017

So much history going on here in this little area, along this small path that not everyone even knows about. Fowler’s Harbor, the S.S. Columbia’s home port, is named for Admiral Joe Fowler. Fowler a Disney Legend helped make not only Disneyland what it is, but Disney World as well. Walt and Fowler met and became good friends in 1954. Fowler’s expertise and knowledge of ship construction was used during the construction of the Mark Twain. Fowler retired from the Walt Disney Company in 1978 but remained on as a consultant. He passed away in 1993 at the age of 99.

Thank you Joe for making some of Disneyland’s most beautiful areas and attractions what they are.

Just curious but, when was this taken? His name is Michael. I haven't seen him at Main Entrance for a long time but then I haven't worked ME at MK for awhile either but still spend time in the ME Break room catching up on things every so often. Thought he had left (to Resort Conventions) a year or so, maybe longer, ago.
