...THANK YOU...

She was very, VERY lucky...only received a "glancing blow" with no venom injected but a reminder to you all...there ARE snakes at the beach!
Who would guess these beautiful sand dunes:

DGD's soccer coach was the victim of a nasty bite from this guy last Saturday on one of our Texas beaches. She walked past him and he jumped a full 5 feet after her to nick her on the leg.She was very, VERY lucky...only received a "glancing blow" with no venom injected but a reminder to you all...there ARE snakes at the beach!

Ok, cross Texas beaches off my bucket list... I get full body shudders from snakes.. Yikes!!! (pretty beach picture though!)

During DD's high school years a group of us would take 12-15 kids to South Padre Island for a week at the beginning of summer. We used to play for HOURS in those sand dunes!
Let's just say the "endangered species" designation needs to be rescinded for these creatures
. More and more snake bites reported on the beaches every year. Granted, this was in a pretty isolated area of the beach but still scares the hell
out of me as I LOVE the beach. Guess it's a good thing we live 2 1/2 hours from the coast and are lucky if we're able to make ONE trip a year to our favorite area!

But DGD wasn't to disappointed (I am...was looking forward to night pictures of Pandora
) when she found a "new pet"...one that flaps his wings and shakes his head when he's asked a question.
No idea who/what he is and anxious to learn the story....

So, not a Disney pic.
. If you look back you'll see a wide range of picture subjects and locations!
No requirement to be a Disney themed picture for this thread. If you look back you'll see a wide range of picture subjects and locations!
