Saw a picture from Colorado Springs on one of the weather sites I follow on Facebook and my first thought was...KATHY FINALLY GOT SNOW! It's beautiful!

Ending a 20 hour day on about 3 hours of sleep ("nice" 4 hour long thunderstorm last night! ) as a proud Mimi (and Pappy)! Our baby granddaughter "did her family proud" today in the first major Brahmadora competition of the year! Not only was her POWERFUL solo on teen depression and suicide named to the Top 5 11/12th grade Soloist (out of 31) in the competition but the contemporary number she choreographed (and designed the costumes for) for the Brahmadora Elite Team was named First Place BEST IN CATEGORY CHAMPION Award Winner!

DGD's Top 5 Solo was about teen depression/suicide. No pretty costume, no pretty moves... just raw emotion that made many in the audience think....

I used to view animals such as this bear in a cage at the Grandfather Mountain Zoo as something wonderful for us to have in a zoo but now I feel sorry for them

Got up earlier than normal this AM and noticed a rainbow forming! We'd had a short rain in the night followed by this rainbow as the clouds cleared.
