The parking lot is still there in the plan. It takes up all the area that is now one of the old wings. I just don't see how this could be ready unless construction is started now!WebmasterCricket said:![]()
Wonder what they are going to do about parking?
kidsister said:I'm looking at the design and thinking that the C shape should be smoothed out and flipped so that the broad backside curve follows along the shoreline .
This would give a whole lot of rooms direct lake views w/o looking in towards other rooms. The smoothed out curve would center on a courtyard BUT all the rooms would have wonderful viewlines toward the fireworks.
Over and out.![]()

Or will you just add on lets say 50 pts? But how would you be able to book at VCR with only 50pts??
jdg345 said:VCR doesn't look that small though, and could very well me the next anchor for DVC III. The thought of a WEDway between the two structures would be magnificently cool though, and would resolve the access to the Monorail stuff ... though it wouldn't be cool as an actual Monorail station.
AKL would be small ... but then what other smaller resorts could they put out? Other than perhaps the TreeHouse Villas area? maybe a Poly area?

I own 200pts at SSR, which I'd keep for my "quiet spa/golf" vacations and add on 100pts at CRV in a HEARTBEAT. The pics give me the chills. I hope they announce it soon. I'm going to start a special account just for this because I want to be READY!

The word seems to be spreading. Hope we DO get an announcement around Oct 1st.
And, FYI, with Florida's 365 day a year construction ability, late 2008, provided demo started sometime this year, wouldn't be too far out of the question. We started demo in June of this year on a facility where I work, roughly 13 stories running the width of a city block, and the estimated completion date is early Spring of '09...and we're in Connecticut where exterior construction in the winter is pretty limited.

But my guess is that it is just a walkway. A peoplemover would require staff wouldn't it?
