Pics Galore!!! April 2007 trip report, first time onsite!!!

Really enjoying your TR!! We stayed at POP in January and liked it too!! I would love to try Boma next time around, thanks for posting all the pics!! You two are an adorable couple!!!!

I have been enjoying your trip report since day 1 !!

Cant wait to read more. Love the pictures!!

We both woke up around 8:30 Saturday prepared for a day at Epcot (our favourite park) Sher went and fetched breakfast while I lounged in bed watching some (or trying to watch) hockey highlights. In the south, Sportscenter's highlight pecking order is Baseball, Basketball, Football, Nascar, Boxing, College level sports, High School debate, then hockey.

Sher got me an adult platter (YUM) and she got herself some croissant and bagel.....

The chocolate croissants changed since last year and now are 14 times better! Mounds of chocolate chips and big chunks of gooey goodness stuffed inside!

We showered and dressed and were out the door for our trip to Epcot! We saw a creepy baby doll in a window. This thing haunted us for the rest of the week....

We snooped around the resort a bit before hitting the bus stop ....

My Nixon impression....

Cool golf cart!!@@!!!

Man POP is cool. We couldn't stop grinning all week!

We hopped on a bus, again a very short wait, I think it was about 8 minutes, and we were on our way to Epcot!

Florida2007April22001.jpg

The plan was to spend the entire day at Epcot. Being a Saturday I was expecting the worst. If memory serves, I think we arrived at 10:20am. The lines for security were very light so we had little problems getting inside....and we beelined to Soarin!

The wait was about 40 minutes so we snagged a couple of Fastpasses!

Look at the look in my eye! Time saved!

DSCF2525.jpg

We noticed that the line for Living with the Land was non-existent so we took a ride. Sher had never been on before and she was really impressed!

We especially like the Super Dwarf Wheat!

DSCF2511.jpg

Whoever named it deserves some accolades!

The were growing some kind of superhero fish in the next room....

DSCF2497.jpg

Living with the Land was a great ride....just gets better every year.

We grabbed some water at the food court and headed to Soarin! We couldn't believe all the people in Standby....the fastpasses were being distributed for only two hours later but people were still lining up for 60 minutes!>?!?!

DSCF2522.jpg

We waited at most 10 minutes before we were let in to the attraction. The lady beside Sher was horribly nervous and drilled us with questions on what to expect. Said she had a fear of heights and couldn't fly without prescription assistance! LOL. We did our best to talk her down and told her it was a surreal experience...nothing to fear. Sure enough, after the ride she was thrilled and we followed them out and watched as they jumped back into the Standby line....maybe thats why the line is so big? Some kind of addictive mind controlling images?

We both really liked Soarin and would not hesitate to recommend it for anyone. Really a great smooth and relaxing ride.

More to come later!

That baby doll is creepy for sure....:scared1:

I love Soarin.

You have to be 40 inches for it and we measure DS and he is just under 40 inches....

I hope we measured wrong and really is 40 inches...we wil find out when we get there....crossing our fingers...

if not, gives us a reason to go back a second time...;)

Cool golf Cart!!

Oh, on the comments to me in previsou post, good idea, to eat slow......:thumbsup2

I love soarin, and i agree about the FP thing...why do people still wait in line? The only thing i can think of is they already have a FP for something else? But still! that's 60 minutes of pure epcot magic your wasting!! There are sparkles and water fountains and countries out there! c'mon people!

The chocolate croissants looked super yummy. Thanks to Trentsmom I saw the Dole whip float again. I have to get one!

I love Living with the Land, especially the mickey pumpkins. Did you like the update where they don't have a guide with you in the boat?

That was very nice of you and Sher to help alleviate the fears of the woman in the Soarin line.:thumbsup2

Enjoying the TR, and even though I have to listen to all the Go Sabres stuff :sad2: I'm going to stick around. Love the pics, and told DH about the watch....maybe he will get the hint:upsidedow

Another great installment. I never understood why Sportscentre does that:sad2: -other than to make us suffer.

Thanks for the review and pics from Living with the Land. We haven't hit that one yet and hope to do so next trip.

Great report so far. Glad you are enjoying the on-site experience. We have visited WDW four times but stayed onsite for the first time in February (Boardwalk Villas) and loved it so much we bought into DVC :rotfl:

Looking forward to reading more :thumbsup2

Ugh, why did they put that doll in the window--it looks like Chuckey's cousin or something! Now I can't get the picture out of my mind.... Great update, though! Love seeing croissants early in the a.m. mmmm....

Well Soarin was a hit so we decided to hit some more rides!

Next up was Figment!

DSCF2514.jpg

What a big smile! Sher loved this ride and we had a blast playing with the picture studio after!

We also had some awesome monkey ones but when we checked our email they were nowhere to be found....bummer.

We decided to grab a snack, Sher got the Mickey Ice Cream bar! YUM

DSCF2518.jpg

Was I about to be replaced by an ice cream bar? Possibly.

After the ice cream we stopped in at Club Cool and sampled all the pops....of course Sher fell for the Beverly. Hilarious! I debated grabbing the cool Russian Coca Cola shirt, ultimately passing on it....Does anyone else have trouble spending money on themselves? I had the hardest time buying souvenirs for myself.......

After the refreshing samples of Coke we decided to grab a Fastpass for Test Track. We headed over and the return time was for about 4:15. A cool 4 hours later! Standby line was 45 minutes so we decided to hit Ellens.

What a great attraction, it is very comfy, the effects are holding up well and it's 45 minutes in air conditioning. What could be better?

Afterwards, we decided food was in order! Off to World Showcase through a neat Butterfly exhibit....

Butterfly.jpg

and into Mexico! We wanted to try the Mexican food but did not want to pay the San Angel prices, so we grabbed some Nacho's to share (as well as a churro!). The nachos were great, a really tasty treat. Churros are unbeatable....such a great place...and one that we ended up coming back to.

We toured World Showcase for a couple of hours....enjoying China, Norway, Japan and France particularily!

We snagged an ADR for San Angel for our October trip - very much looking forward to it :thumbsup2

Ever since I stepped out of Club Cool, i've been on the hunt for a bottle of Mezzo Mix...nowhere to be found! Not even eBay! They need to bring the "cola kisses orange" drink to the states (and canada for you lol)

I am loving this TR! I also like that it's just you and your GF... I am leaving to go to WDW with my BF in 15 days and we are so excited! Keep the pics coming... they're great! :thumbsup2
