We both woke up around 8:30 Saturday prepared for a day at Epcot (our favourite park) Sher went and fetched breakfast while I lounged in bed watching some (or trying to watch) hockey highlights. In the south, Sportscenter's highlight pecking order is Baseball, Basketball, Football, Nascar, Boxing, College level sports, High School debate, then hockey.
Sher got me an adult platter (YUM) and she got herself some croissant and bagel.....
The chocolate croissants changed since last year and now are 14 times better! Mounds of chocolate chips and big chunks of gooey goodness stuffed inside!
We showered and dressed and were out the door for our trip to Epcot! We saw a creepy baby doll in a window. This thing haunted us for the rest of the week....
We snooped around the resort a bit before hitting the bus stop ....
My Nixon impression....
Cool golf cart!!@@!!!
Man POP is cool. We couldn't stop grinning all week!
We hopped on a bus, again a very short wait, I think it was about 8 minutes, and we were on our way to Epcot!
The plan was to spend the entire day at Epcot. Being a Saturday I was expecting the worst. If memory serves, I think we arrived at 10:20am. The lines for security were very light so we had little problems getting inside....and we beelined to Soarin!
The wait was about 40 minutes so we snagged a couple of Fastpasses!
Look at the look in my eye! Time saved!
We noticed that the line for Living with the Land was non-existent so we took a ride. Sher had never been on before and she was really impressed!
We especially like the Super Dwarf Wheat!
Whoever named it deserves some accolades!
The were growing some kind of superhero fish in the next room....
Living with the Land was a great ride....just gets better every year.
We grabbed some water at the food court and headed to Soarin! We couldn't believe all the people in Standby....the fastpasses were being distributed for only two hours later but people were still lining up for 60 minutes!>?!?!
We waited at most 10 minutes before we were let in to the attraction. The lady beside Sher was horribly nervous and drilled us with questions on what to expect. Said she had a fear of heights and couldn't fly without prescription assistance! LOL. We did our best to talk her down and told her it was a surreal experience...nothing to fear. Sure enough, after the ride she was thrilled and we followed them out and watched as they jumped back into the Standby line....maybe thats why the line is so big? Some kind of addictive mind controlling images?
We both really liked Soarin and would not hesitate to recommend it for anyone. Really a great smooth and relaxing ride.
More to come later!
