For those of you who have done this...how is it? I was recently looking at the menu and the sandwiches don't look appealing to me but the chicken does. Is it worth doing? It seems like it can extend a day at AK, since usually I am only in that park for about a half a day not even.

Never heard of it....sounds interesting though.

I was reading about recently myself and wondering about it. We plan on doing two counter service meals on our AK day, and we know one will be Flametree Barbeque, and I am considering doing this as our second. I read a pretty good review of it on allears.net and I'll try to post the link if I'm allowed... http://land.allears.net/blogs/allearsteam/2009/07/picnic_in_the_park_animal_king.html

Now that I looked it up, we kind of have the same plan. My question is how late can you get the meal for the picnic? We plan on eating Flame Tree BBQ as well, it's one of our must for AK. We usually have a very light breakfast that day, so we'll probably eat Flame Tree before noon, and then picnic later? Or we could picnic at noon and eat FT before they close at 5pm?

Most AK days we eat Flame Tree for lunch and then hit Rainforest on the way out....the picnic will be much cheaper, just hope we can work out the timing.
