WHERE did you see that? I hope it is true. But they need to change the talk back to the way it was -- I understand it is awful now.

On the Dis Update section at the top of the page on the board. It's going to be called Tomorrowland Transit Authority People Mover. Wahoo!!

This is wonderful news. I could never call it anything but the Wedway People Mover. You made my day. Still have the "brats" hanging with you?

Ditto!! It is the Peoplemover and nothing but. It's one of my fav rides! I bet I go on that at least 4 times each day at the park. By myself even and grinning from ear to ear. :teeth:

Only one brat here now - my own. I'm trying to get her to go outside to get the stink blown off her, but she took a shower instead. lol What a comedian.

Mark and I ride it that many times too...it is a good way to put your "feet up" and relax. She took a shower instead of having the stink blown off of her. What a genius you have for a daughter. :rotfl:

No way!!!:cheer2: This and the MSEP staying around is the best news I've heard in awhile. :woohoo:

Okay, who wants to make a short trip to Disney with me to celebrate after my surgery? Come on now...volunteers line up to the right.;) I'm waiting....:rolleyes1

This thread has been hoppin' and I've not received a single notification.:sad2: How am I supposed to keep up? :confused3

Kathy, I've probably told this story before, but my first stay at AKL we booked a std view - this was back in the days when I never made a single request of any kind and had no idea how bad a std view at AKL could be...

At check we were told we'd been upgraded to Savannah view and we declined saying we were not fans of zoos. The CM was very nice, said she still thought we'd love it and did her best to find us a great room location. Yep, had to drag me off the balcony to go to a park...it was so peaceful and beautiful. Of course, now I could never stay there again without a Savannah view...and that would require a very off season and a great discount.:thumbsup2

Hope everyone is having a nice Saturday.:goodvibes I am re-evaluating my decision not to see a GYN Oncologist...with up to a 30% chance of cancer, think it might be wise to go ahead and see a specialist. ::yes::

Good morning, Pickles. Hope you are all having a great weekend.

Christine, you have to do what you think is best. Personally, I think a specialist is the right way to go.

I'm making cookies for my brat and trying to catch up on all my subscribed threads here that I've fallen behind on. I can't believe our trip is six weeks away. :)

Yup, I am baking too and flunked horribly on my blueberry pie. The crust turned out horrid so I am going to scoop out the blueberries and try again. I was so mad.

Six weeks away, huh? Yippee skippy! The next thing you know, you'll be there. This time last year, we were at CSR having a time!

Christine, I think going the specialist route is wise too.

Six weeks!!! :woohoo:

Trace, I just noticed your Old Orchard Beach countdown - what fun!!! :cheer2:

Yesterday I left a message for my Dr saying I had some more questions about seeing a specialist....of course, the message must go through the woman who answers the phone for the practice, then she fills out a form and who knows when the Dr will call. As much as I like the Dr personally, it takes forever to reach her or get something scheduled.

I was reading the website for the UNC Women's Cancer Center and if the place is even a little bit as supportive as the website, I want a referred there. It's an hour away, but for something this important would be worth it. Mia is applying for the Family medical Leave (or whatever it's called) so she can take time off as needed and her job will not be in jeopardy.

I very much appreciate you opinions - not being on Boston and not having friends nearby your support helps more than you know. Thank you.

Yes, our trip is coming up soon. Can't wait to get the heck out of this town. LOL

I hope that Mia gets approved for family leave, which I am sure would be a fairly easy process considering the circumstances. What stress you must all be under. Here are some hugs.:grouphug:

Thank you, sweetie. At least for me, I feel less stressed now that I have an answer and know we're on the way to getting things fixed..when the surgery gets closer I'll be hollerin' for hugs every few minutes. :scared1:

Hopefully, Mia will not need to take any time off without pay, but with the medical leave approved she can use her sick time and vacation days as needed, rather than only if a day is available to take off - you remember how difficult it is for her to get a day off without a year notice. I don't know how she stands a job with such restrictions.

If I have to be in the hospital more than a day or tow then she might need to take a couple of days without pay....but fingers crossed that doesn't happen. :thumbsup2

How's your day goin'? :goodvibes

Well, I hope everything will be smooth sailing for you guys! :)

My day....hrm. Well, I wrecked my first blueberry pie. Crust was awful. My second pie is cooling now. Just need to keep Mark's mitts off of it. hehe I've been cleaning here and there. Started to play a game of Yahtzee with Cass and then her friend showed up so she stopped playing. Mark and I will finish later and maybe have a game of crib or scrabble. Trying to figure out what to make for supper. Wanted to bbq some sausage but apparently sir Galahad here only likes one kind. I didn't bother to ask. Maybe I'll feed him mac and cheese, without the pepper of course. Won't make THAT mistake twice.

Drink number two is in sight. :teeth:

Christine, I'm confident things will go well and Mia will not have to use too much time without pay (and what kind of goofy job is that that she needs to ask for a day off a year before hand ).

Tracy, glad the second pie turned out well. No Pepper on Mac&Cheese? Is he goofy or what? What kind of drink?

I just finished my brat's cookies and am watching the idiot Cubs lose again (I don't know why my DH puts them on). I just sent him off to Starbucks for my afternoon delight and he is cooking chicken on the grill at the brat's request.

What is it with spoiled brats anyway??? BBQ chicken sounds yum. My vaf.

Seriously, I have never met a pickier kid. (other than my step daughter's ex boyfriend) He won't eat pepper - well boo on him because I've put it in other things where he can't see it and he has never complained, so I think he's just being a turd. He won't eat potatoes, but will snork french fries, no veggies of any kind, only certain drinks (diet pepsi - no wonder he has fillings in every single tooth) and that's pretty much it. They eat take out food a lot. His parents rarely cook. It's too bad, really. I cringe when Cass goes over there. She comes home smelling like a smoke stack and eats nothing but junk. Kids her age are slim pickings where we live so we make do.

I am drinking caesars. I love them. When my vodka is gone, I'll get into the rum. If I can stay awake that long. LOL

Hi Pickles!!!
I had a DIS friend from another thread visit over the weekend. We had lots of fun, but I'm exhausted!!! Our kids are on opposite schedules, so didn't get much sleep (although yesterday, I was home by 5, Brian had dinner ready, ciddled with Martina for a bit and she was in bed by 9. Did I sleep????? NOOOO:headache:)

I'm exhausted and actually looking forward to sitting on my a$$ in front of my computer at work all day.

Hey stranger! What a fun weekend you must have had with your DIS friend. I actually met my best friend on the internet nine years ago and have visited her several times. We haven't seen her in three years though and are planning a visit over thanksgiving. Black Friday and outlets, here I come!!

I hear you on the sleep deprivation. We had two sleepovers here on the weekend and I am practically slurring my speech. :lmao: My house looks like a tornado went through it, and for some reason the housekeeper/chef/nurse/bill payer didn't show up for work today. :confused3

Good morning. Woo....that sounds like a busy weekend. I hope you at least had a good time. Don't fall asleep in front of that computer. You might want to try lots of this: :surfweb::surfweb::surfweb:

Morning, Tracy. Are you sure the speech "slurring" is from lack of sleep or the Bahama Mama's? :rotfl::rotfl:

Hope that the kids will give you a break today.

Marnin'! The kids are gone now, amen. It's just Cass and me here. I'm positive my speech slurring is due to lack of sleep. When ya can't remember what you're drinking in front of you, that is not a good sign. Hot tea on the lips hurts! Still haven't tried the bahama mamas. I need to finish my vodka before I move on to rum! Hrm... maybe that's what I need to do to numb the pain. :rolleyes1 There's nothing wrong with drinking at noon on a Monday, right? ;)

Drinking at noon on a Monday. My Aunt Therese and my mother (rest their souls) would both say, absolutely not! Funny, they were not drinkers until after age 60, then they somehow decided 11:30 a.m. was the acceptable time for a drink. :confused3

Sounds like a fun, if crazy weekend Heather! Hope today is not too bad... as Kathy said, this is the way to go: :surfweb:

Kathy, I need to get over to your PTR and see the latest updates/changes. I do so enjoy your PTR's. :goodvibes

Trace - hope Cass is tired too and it's a nice quiet day. Tell the chef/housekeeper/nurse/bill payer to take the week off. :rolleyes1

Hey, Janet, Kari and Kelly. Hope you all had a good weekend. :goodvibes
