Pickle part III

Hi Pickles!!!

You all have been BUSY!

Just getting through the days here at work!

I think that all of our head Head housekeeper/Chef/Maid/BillpayerDriver...etc should get a 150% raise!!!
Wait...150% of nothing is still nothing...we lose!

Have a great day, Pickles!!!

TWO weeks from today and we are on the road!!!!!!!!!!!! I CAN NOT WAIT. Kathy, your trip is coming up soon and Christine, you're gone in two weeks as well. What day are you leaving? It will be wonderful for you to get out of the house and have a change of scenery. What do you do with the doggies when you get there?

Heather, you are so right. No pay is high enough for us. I do go on strike once in awhile. I pay for it later, but boy does everyone get the message. ;)

37 days and counting (and 41 until we are with Nicki). I'm so glad you are getting away for a little while.

I used to go on the strike...but it did me no good. Now I just tell them to all go to he** and deal with the mess themselves or it will stay there. :)

I'm glad we're going away too. It's been a rough year since last September. We need some fun!!:woohoo: So, 37 days will pass by before you know it! It's the last few that drag on and on and on. hehe

Yeah, I've growled, snarled, and snapped at all the kids to clean and pick up after themselves. My problem was that I was out numbered.

I just had a power nap and could actually go to bed for the night. How sad is that?

:lmao::lmao: Unfortunately, mine just let it stay there!:headache:
I agree that going on strike really does you no good though...just more work for you later. In my next life, I will marry a neat freak, and have neat freak children, too. One can dream!

You need to get on that one stick pony and start barking out orders!!

Two weeks?? Now that is exciting - and a beach vacation at that!! :woohoo:Where are you staying? Anywhere near the beach? It really doesn't matter a twit as you will be on V A C A T ION (sing along!).

Mia rented a cottage - we had one we liekd better, but the owners would not answer a single question, just wanted us to commit...sorry, doesn't work that way. Do people really rent that way? :confused3
Here's the cottage "we" rented in 8/28, out 9/4:

Trace, pups come along - we are going to Petco and other places to price x-pens as I would feel better knowing they were on one of those and safe for the day - it's like a big play yard, open on the top. so we can put beds and piddle pads in with them.

LONG drive - we will leave when Mia gets out of work on the 27th (by the time we get on the road it will be 6:30), drive to Columbia, SC (about 3 hrs) for the night, then on to St Augustine on Saturday, another 5 hours. On the way back we'll spend the ngt in Savannah.

Can you believe we will celebrate Sophia's 2nd birthday!! She is talking up a storm and counting up to 5 - can even read numbers up to 9. What a kid. let me tell, this is not a laid back 2 yr old...but then she always has been feisty - which will come in handy in life. :thumbsup2

Still trying to figure out if I should go to the gyn oncologist or stick with my Dr - all opinions welcome.

Kathy, 37 days will fly by...except the last week... But we'll keep you company to help pass those last few days. We can have a drink-fest.:dance3:

Oooh sounds like a good vacation for you all! Does Sophia like the water - I see there is a pool where you are staying. Cass loves to swim. Sometimes, we can barely get her out of the water without a fight. I love the water too. Yes, we are staying on the beach. There is an amusement park nearby so we'll be there a couple of times, I'm sure.

Sophia will be two? It's scary how kids grow up so fast. The next thing you know, she'll be a teenager! I've got three years to prepare myself for it. Should be a breeze since we've already gone through it four times.

I know you are having a stressful time dealing with medical personnel right now, but I really think you should go with the specialist. That being said, you need to go with what you feel is right to you... only you can decide that. I wish you strength in making your decision.

Thanks, Tracy.

The pool is directly opposite the cottage - and beach a very short walk. I've no idea if she likes the water - she's never really been near any water! She loves water play in the sink everyday though. Don't think we'll be doing any swimming ....will go down to the beach. Oh!! She has her first bathing suit!!

How wonderful for you! Ya know, I know Old Orchard Beach - we lived in Brunswick. ::yes::

The cottage looks nice! I hope you have a great time!

That last week is always the worst...Tracy we will be here for you to help you pass the time!

Good morning, Pickles.

Christine, LOVE the bathing suit. Can't wait to see pics of it.

Tracy, one week is going to fly by. I'm not sure if I'm ore excited about Disney or a week at the beach.

Heather, I agree with you...that cottage looks very nice. And how are you feeling today? Still need that caffine kick?

Yes Heather, the last week is going to be excruciatingly painful, especially since I know that my BFF will be in WDW for a week and staying at my beloved CBR. Lord I hope she likes it - their first stay on resort was at the Poly!! I'll be on pins and needles until they get back. I might just go into hiding too...

That bathing suit is adorable, Christine. I really miss that age and buying all of those cute clothes. My tomboy now shops in the boy's section. :(

Kathy - Mickey wins hands down for me any time! Beach smeach. I guess I take it for granted since I live 20 minutes from the beach. Haven't been there in 25 years or so!

In my next life, I will marry a neat freak, and have neat freak children, too. One can dream!

I'm not planning on waiting until my next life. I tell Wynn all the time that my next husband will know how to do laundry and dishes!

Still trying to figure out if I should go to the gyn oncologist or stick with my Dr - all opinions welcome.

Please go see a specialist. If there is a chance that they notice anything different (better or worse) then at least you will have a better idea of what you are facing.

The beach house is nice. I know you will have a great time. Avery loved going to the beach at that age. She would run into the ocean to her ankles and squeal when the waves got her. Both kids loved a big dumptruck more than anything to push around the sand and in/out of the surf. You may just find you have a waterbug on your hands!

All these vacations in the works makes me jealous. I am anxiously awaiting the 2011 rates for Universal so I can officially book a trip! Sucks that I can't tell anyone until Christmas though.

Okay, call me old or call me stupid. But what does your siggy mean (I don't know what those initials stand for)?

I'm more awake today...tomorrow is Friday, that's why!

If you are anything like me, you are more excited about Disney. There are lots of nice beaches, but Disney is Disney!

ohhhh...I LOVE the Poly. My friend is going ther in Oct. I soooo wish I could go.

WHAT???? You live 20 min from the beach and don't go?!?!?? I'm gonna smack you upside the head! (and then come visit you and make you take me to the beach)

You are smare not to wait till your next life to get a husband who can do chores. What are you gonna do with your current one though?

I think KOTS=Keeper Of The Secret

Ooops - missed some posts. That will teach me to go to an eye appointment and the grocery store! After I got that crap done it was time to watch Big Brother. My eye appointment was a bust, after I got home, of course. I got bifocals to try this time. They seemed okay at the office, but man. Once I got in the car to come home, I couldn't see squat. I had to take them out when I got home and put my darn glasses on. My follow up appointment isn't until Wednesday. I think I will have to call today and get another script to try.

Step kid number four is coming to visit for a few days. I just got her grocery list. I should just set up a bedroom there as I seem to be there all the time!

Need to get the Escape serviced before we go away. Need an oil change, something is wonky in the rear end and my a/c isn't cold. Tracy does not want to be on a roadtrip for 8 hours without a/c. It could get ugly. Next week is full of appointments and I am starting to stress. I'll be so glad to get on the road. 12 more days! Woot.

I hate to tell you...but bifocals take A LONG TIME to get used to. It's taken me so long that mine are in my purse and I wear my old glasses. :rotfl::rotfl: Mark's been wearing his for years (of course, he's OLDER than me ;)), but I can't stand them.

I have an Escape. Or should I say I HAD an Escape until Markie's car was totaled and he took my Escape to school. I love that SUV!

And to your 12 days, I say: :dance3::dance3::dance3::dance3:

I lub my Escape, too. Mine is metalic royal blue with a grey pin stripe. They have a new colour out now that I really want when my lease is up. It's a cherry red with a touch of maroon to it. That's about as best as I can describe it. It's so purdy! The 4x4 sure comes handy in our crazy winters. I can't tell you how many times I've zipped out of our driveway after the plow has gone by and left a foot and a half snow bank. Love it!

My glasses are already progressive lenses and I've had no problem with them at all. Mark can't wear them, so I guess we're the exact opposite. lol The contacts are not progressive but the bifocals - I'm not really sure what the difference is as I am used to shifting my eyes down when I need to read. She said you don't need to do that with the bifocal contacts. Funny thing is, my sight for distance is 20/20 - so not really noticeable at all. I can read license plates from a fair distance. Yesterday? I was about a car or two car lengths before I could read them. Reading was a tad blurry too, especially on the computer. I don't know what to do. She also mentioned that she could do a distance one in my left eye and put a reader one in my right eye, since that is my dominant eye. I don't know what to think! She's been doing this a very long time, so I have to trust that she knows what she's doing. I don't want to go on vacation and not be able to see a darn thing. I really hate wearing my glasses because I can't wear my sunglasses alone. I have the ones that you put over your glasses but I HATE them.

Wow, holy long story Batman!

Question!

Have you guys replaced your dollar bills with coins now? Mark got one in his change at the store and if it's legit, I'm bringing it on vacation! :teeth:

Yes and no. No, we've not replaced them. But we have had dollar coins for a very long time.
