You've never heard of yard ape? lol Some might be offended by it, but it's a term of endearment here.
I just spoke to Cass about the incident. She told the teacher and vice principal that she has no appetite at lunch because of her medication. I asked her what they said, and she told me that they just said, okay and she went back to her classroom. Then, I guess they called me. This is not the first time this has happened. I've had so many meetings with the school and the guidance counselor about my daughter and they KNOW about her issues etc. At this point, I can't even be civil about it. On top of that, she is a picky eater. I can't force her to eat raw veggies. She hates them. Fruit is a hit or miss. The school is nut free, so that limits us even more. I'll gladly pack her full lunches and when they come home rotten, I'll send them the bill to reimburse me. Last year, hot lunch for the week (three days) was $15 most weeks. She never ate any of it. Did the teacher inform me? Nope. My sister is a teacher there and
she told me about it. She said over half of the kids don't eat their hot lunch. They have 20 minutes to scarf down their lunch and then they are shipped outside to play. Does that make any sense at all? So many parents have complained. I give up. I'm glad that you "get it". Some truly don't and that makes my head spin.
