Hope my friends had a good night.

Well, today is the last day alone in the house and have a ton of cleaning, laundry etc to do before the big lids and munchkin arrive.

Must say, think I could live alone just fine if it was not isolated- then again, maybe not all the time. It is very peaceful, but living alone all the time would not very good for the soul, me thinks.

Heather, sounds like a very nice day.

Better hop to it - lots to do. Will check in later for sure.

Happy last day of February - next month brings SPRING!!!

Hope your precious Sophia is home and you've had a wonderful reunion, Christine.

And for all of my Pickles: I wanted to let you know that my brother is home from the hospital. He was supposed to come home yesterday but they found something in his blood work effecting his kidneys (turns out it was one of his meds). He is now home and hopefully on his way to a full recovery. Thank you all for your support and prayers...it means the world to me.

Kathy, wonderful news! I know we will all hold him in thoughts and prayer for his continued recovery to good health.

Everyone is home.....Sophia was full of energy and I was tired after being with her for 20 mins. Mia said when they walked in the door, Sophia pointed upstairs and said, "Nan'Na". She increased her vocabulary - yup, she now says, "poopy" - not after she poops, although when someone asks her if she pooped, she put her hand to her back and smiled and said, "poopy". We can thank her dad for that one. We all clapped and smiled. The things we celebrate with little ones. lol
She was ready to go when she came in...pushing her baby stroller (throws the baby out) and her grocery cart; she was delighted to see her toys. If we're not moving soon, I'd like to get her a small sand/water table for the back deck - active toddlers especially enjoy sand and water.

For some reason I woke at 3:10 this morning, was awake until 5, then woke at 6 - I am sooo tired. No idea how I'll get through this first day with a busy toddler. Sure hope the weather improves soon so we can get to the playground.

Just found out that a new Pickles thread was up and running ... so I guess I'm a little late in joining, but I'm here. (My hubby will tell you I'm ALWAYS late for everyone)

Kathy - I haven't read very much of the thread (only the last page or two), so I will have to get caught up, but I'm glad to read your brother is out of the hospital, and will be on the mend.

Well, I have missed everyone - have felt very much out of touch. Hope you all had wonderful holidays ... Heather a belated happy B-day. So excited to hear about your cruise.

The weather is still the pits. The roads are a mess and it's snowing off and on and it's still rather windy. The windows sure whistled last night. Another sleepless night. I can't wait for spring.

Tell me about it. This has been a brutal winter with snow, ice and cold. It is supposed to be 46 on Friday and 50 by Monday. Andy is so excited that he went to the golf dome and started hitting balls. It is his favorite time of year: baseball tryouts at the high school started yesterday so baseball is right around the corner and it is golf season! He really needs to get a life.

Mornin’ all,

Not a lot new here, just same old, same old – working FT, helping the kids, and working on the school yearbook. More than ever this year, I’m feeling the stress of getting it done in time – so right now, it’s a love-hate relationship! My family will be glad as I talk about yearbook WAY too much for them. Our deadline is getting so very, very close (around mid-April) and I'm starting to get a little panicky wondering if it will all come together in time.So right now, my life revolves around YB! I do need to get another life, that’s for sure!! In one way I will miss it come fall, but on the other hand, I also CAN’T wait until it’s over!!

Well, ‘nuff said about YB. In other stuff, Samantha just went thru math placement for next year (she moves on to middle school) and course selection will come out soon (although not much choices to make in 7th grade). She tested for the honors math program so math next year will definitely be more of a challenge, but she feels she can do it. She’ll be in the band – she takes the flute but just recently she is talking about taking guitar lessons Sam also just started ice skating lessons (she is scared, but wants to be able to skate so she can go with her friends).

Paul has his learner’s permit and of course wants to go driving all the time – so far that duty has gone to Howard, thank goodness! He will be going to the local community college in the fall, at least for one year, which I think is good for him, as he admits to being not ready to leave home.

I've been loving the snowy weather here (I'm one of the weird ones, like the snow, but not the really cold temps) - of course the kids love it too, 4 snow days this year!

I have definitely missed being connected to you all (I know I haven’t joined Facebook yet, but I will, I swear, since I know you guys keep connected that way as well – my fear is that I will get hooked on those FB games!!!)

I'm going to print the 21 pages so I can read what's been going on with you all. So GLAD the Pickle thread is back!!!!
